Recently I have read an article “The other Hollywood” and now I would like to tell some words about

it.

This article is about homeless teenagers of Hollywood which sleep on boulevard of the last one
every night. The author divided the text into three parts: “Why are they on the street”, “A dream
come true?” and finally “Who is responsible?”. Let’s talk about all of them.

As indicated in the text over half of the people aged under 25 and living on the streets leave their
family homes because of abuse. Many teenagers don't know where to look for help, and the only
way out of the situation may seem to run away from it. That’s why they’re on the streets.

In my opinion there are other ways to solve these problems, for example they can talk with their
parents about it, they can ask for help in Humans Right Office or may be call the police.

For many teenagers Hollywood seems like escape from their difficult home life. They think that they
can became movie stars. But in real life they spend all their money in the first week and then they
become involved in buying or selling drugs to survive.

Perhaps they should be more pragmatic to avoid such problems, plan a budget, find an agent in
advance etc. Of course, trouble can happen to anyone, but they can prepare to increase the chances
of success.

Movies create the image of Hollywood which we all have. Some people think that large studios were
responsible for homeless teenagers which image Hollywood fabulous and carefree. I can’t agree with
this opinion because even if they fail, they can return to their homes or seek help from social
services, but they don’t have to became homeless.

In conclusion I want to say that everything depends on ourselves so we can change our life.

About Xabier

In my opinion moving to another country is always a difficult decision. People can relocate for
various reasons let’s talk about some of them. First of all, this is certainly a profitable a job offer,
sometimes it’s looking for a better life, often young people come to foreign country because they
received scholarship at a prestigious university.

Recently I knew about two people who met by fate in Oxford Great Brittan. The Man was from
Bolivia and the woman was from Spain. They came to study English and met on the street on the
way to the university and fell in love. Then they got married and decided to stay in Oxford because
he got job offer. Later they had two suns – Xabier and James.

I heard Xabier interview so I want to discuss it with you. He grew up in England and noticed his
nationality in secondary school when England played with Spain in Euro 96. Now he says that he is
English. But his mother think that he was ever felt 50 percent English because his parents are not
English. I am sure that in his youth he didn’t feel like an Englishman but now he feels, because even
if your parents are adherents of other cultures, the influents of the culture of the country where you
live will still has a greater influent on you and over the time you will identify yourself as an
Englishman like in this case.

It is also possible that in his youth he was superfluous in that society, because his family is not
English. But now he is studding modern languages in Durn University Spanish and French and I
believe that he has a beautiful life.

In conclusion I want to sat that wherever you have to move, you should respect the local cultures
and customs, but also don’t forget about yours.

About polish people in England

Why people decide to leave theirs homes and arrive to other another country. I think that people
believe that a better life awaits them there. Better education medicine and final wages that’s what
they want to see there.

I recently listened to an interview with Sally Pearson. She is Community Development Officer of
England region. She said that there were two waves of Polish immigration to England. The first was
in 1945 and the second after 2004. In the first wave, 200,000 Poles immigrated and by 1990 there
were 150,000 of them left in England. And now their number exceeds three quarters of a million.

Why did so many people from Poland move to the UK in 2004? All this because the European Union
expanded its borders that year. This gave the Poles the opportunity for easy immigration to the EU
countries. I think that they were very happy about this, since Poland is one of the poorest countries
in Europe and this event made it possible to increase their income without changing their
profession, but just changing their place of work. Also, many English companies are looking for
workers in Poland to transport them to England.

But do not forget about those people who moved there earlier. I think it was hard for them, because
there were no shops or cafes with Polish food and dishes. They developed their diaspora from
scratch, and now new Poles are coming for everything ready. I think that the old-timers are nervous
about this and I think that because of the new generation of Polish immigrants, their reputation in
England may be damaged.

I believe that wherever you go you should always respect the laws and culture of that country and
behave with dignity. If you decide to leave your native land for foreign lands, you should take your
loved ones with you. because the home is not a place, the home is the people who surround you.
