What is EAPP?
EAPP or English for Academic and Professional
purposes is a two-semester program for native and
non-native English speakers that gives students time
to focus on English writing, critical reading, and
research skills. This program helps students develop
communication skills that will prepare them for social
and academic interactions
EAPP as said is a very important subject to learn to
become a professional individual and to have a self
confidence in speaking formal language to other areas
of communication. To broaden more we will cite an
example on how studying EAPP help us to attain
higher education and achieve our goals. EAPP can also
help with your eligibility when you choose to apply to
international universities. Proficiency in English allows
you to explore rich and varied types of literature: Some
of the world's most renowned authors and Nobel
Laureates have published their work in English.
Purpose of EAPP subject for students:
Students will increase the accuracy, range, and
complexity of their oral and written communication in
academic settings. Students who already demonstrate
good knowledge of the language will take this course
to improve their competence in using English in a
variety of academic contexts.
"PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2"
WHAT IS PRACTICAL RESEARCH IS ALL ABOUT?
This course intends to further develop the critical thinking
and problem-solving skills of students through quantitative
research. Its goal is to equip students with the necessary
skills and experience to write their research
papers.Quantitative research is the process of collecting
and analyzing numerical data. It can be used to find patterns
and averages, make predictions, test causal relationships,
and generalize results to wider populations.
What learning will the learner will benifit from Practical
Research
Senior high school students can benefit from using
quantitative research to develop their skills in data analysis,
critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students can learn
how to identify patterns and relationships by analyzing data.
They can develop their critical thinking skills by considering
different interpretations of the data. Students often have to
find creative solutions to problems when working with data.
WHY PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2 IS INCLUDED IN THE SHS
CURRICULUM?
With the help of research, students can enhance their
problem-solving skills and learn more about the technical
aspects of different fields. The process of Research helps
them in enhancing their thinking pattern and opens new
opportunities for learning and implementing them in their
life. It makes them think differently on various topics with a
new perspective.
"CREATIVE NONFICTION"
WHAT IS CREATIVE NON-FICTION ALL ABOUT?
Focusing on formal elements and writing techniques,
including autobiography and blogging, among others,
the subject introduces the students to the reading and
writing of Creative Nonfiction as a literary form. The
subject develops in students skills in reading, and
thinking critically and creatively, that will help them to
be imaginative readers and writers.Creative non-fiction
emphasizes truthful writing using the character,
setting, plot, conflict, and theme of the literary devices
making it creatively challenging. It employs literary
techniques to achieve elegance in the language, and
character and make the story heartwarming and nearer
to the reader. Creative Non-Fiction includes
biography/autobiography, travelogue, Reflection
Essays, Personal Narratives or Memoirs, Flash Essays
and Testimonio.
What learning will the learner will benifit from Creative
Nonfiction
Non-fiction makes information accessible to children
who perhaps don't readily go to books as a leisure
activity. Children who are simply curious about the
world come to non-fiction to find answers, facts and
knowledge. This, in turn, helps create new readers and
new learners. Fiction tends to be a popular part of the
education pathway. Non-fiction should not be
overlooked as a key tool for developing students
achievements.
WHY CREATIVE NONFICTION IS INCLUDED IN THE
SHS CURRICULUM?
It develops creative thoughts, uses their imaginations,
suggests alternatives, and broadens theirs though
processes and problem-solving abilities. It also allows
the child to show their opinions and develop their voice.
It also improves their logical skills. Also, it allows
young writers to explore made-up worlds and
experiment with new writing skills. It can also give
them healthy outlets to navigate their emotions, learn
more about the world and themselves, and share these
explorations with their peers, friends, and families. In
this course, students will read, critique, and compose
original poetry, essays, and short fiction, students will
examine the works of published writers as well as
peers to discover, expand, and refine their skills, voice,
and repertoire.
