Receiving Lighting Assemblies

The following table details the steps for receiving lighting assemblies.

Receiving Lighting Assemblies

Step Action
1 Upon receipt of lighting assemblies, open all boxes, remove each assembly, and check for
shipping damage (broken lenses, missing parts, bent or dented metal work).
2 With the information on Form 202, "Identification of Material Samples," assign each lot a
laboratory number.
3 Write laboratory number on each assembly box.
4 Arrange assemblies in logical order in storage area until ready for testing.

Evaluating Lighting Assemblies

The following table details the steps for evaluating the construction characteristics of
lighting assemblies.

Evaluating Lighting Assemblies

Step Action
1 Remove all power from test bench.
2 Remove assembly from shipping box, assemble (if necessary), and place on test bench.
3 Visually inspect the interior and exterior surfaces and components to verify compliance with
pertinent specification.
4 Verify that assembly contains the proper stickers and warnings.
