1. Scope
This standard provides checklists to be used for the commissioning of new electrical equipment and
defines the methodology for use of these checklists.

2. References
Reference is made in this standard to the following documents. The latest issues, amendments, and
supplements to these documents shall apply unless otherwise indicated.

3. General
3.1 It is the intent of this practice to provide checklists to assist field personnel in management for electrical
equipment installation. A check list is to be completed for each tagged item of equipment.
3.2 The check list serves as a ready reference for required activities and status report for each piece of
equipment.
3.3 The check list shall not be construed to replace test and inspection procedures or test and inspection
reports.
3.4 Any conflict(s) between this standard, SES and industry standards, engineering drawings, and
contract documents shall be resolved at the discretion of SABIC.

4. Checklists
4.1 Switchgear
Checklist SES E18X01A shall be completed for switchgear; test and inspection shall be completed In
accordance with SES E08T01 and E03T01.

4.2 Transformers
Checklist SES E18X01B shall be completed for transformers; test and inspection shall be completed in
accordance with SES E04T01.
4.3 Bus Duct
Checklist SES E18X01C shall be completed for Bus Duct; test and inspection shall be completed in
accordance with industry standards indicated in SES E25S01.
4.4 Neutral Grounding Resistors
Checklist SES E18X01D shall be completed for Neutral Grounding Resistors; test and inspection shall be
completed in accordance with industry standards indicated in SES E11S01.
4.5 Motor Control Centers
Checklist SES E18X01E shall be completed for Motor Control Centers; test and inspection shall be
completed in accordance with E09T01 or E09T02 as applicable.
4.6 Motors
Checklist SES E18X01F shall be completed for Motors; test and inspection shall be completed in
accordance with E06T01 or E06T02 as applicable.
4.7 Batteries and Chargers
Checklist SES E18X01G shall be completed for Batteries and Chargers; test and inspection shall be
completed In accordance with industry standards indicated in SES E12S01.
4.8 Standby Generator
Checklist SES E18X01H shall be completed for Standby Generators; test and inspection shall be
completed in accordance with E07T01.
4.9 Adjustable Frequency Drives
Checklist SES E18X01I shall be completed for Batteries and Chargers; test and inspection shall be
completed In accordance with industry standards indicated in SES E10S01 or E10S02 as applicable.
4.10 UPS Equipment
Checklist SES E18X01J shall be completed for Batteries and Chargers; test and inspection shall be
completed In accordance with SES E13T01.
