Digital Scrapbook Project


Directions
Photograph objects that you think represent the following items from the novel. Think about
descriptions from the book as well as other objects or scenes that you might associate with the items.
You cannot use found images from the internet or images that you have taken in the past. You must
take new pics for this project.

Required Images (Select images that represent or evoke these themes, characters, and concepts.)
1. Light and Dark (a single image that shows the contrast between the two)
2. Prison Door
3. Punishment
4. Reflections
5. Forest
6. Puritan Society
7. Hester Prynne
8. Arthur Dimmesdale
9. Roger Chillingworth
10. Pearl

Presentation
 You will present your digital scrapbook to the class.
 After you have taken your pictures, place them in a presentation program such as PowerPoint,
Prezi, or Google slides.
 Include a title page with your name, project name, and a cover photo (not one of your other photos)
 Place each image on a separate slide. Each slide should have a title and each image should have
a caption (1-3 sentences).

Note
You do not need to use a high quality camera. Pictures from your phone are acceptable. However, make
sure your pictures are clear. You should be able to find ideas for these pictures around your house or by
taking a walk around your neighborhood.
