A Complete Guide of the Research

Process

1. Proposal Defense
Its purpose is to evaluate your research proposal for its academic merit and ensure that the research questions are well-
supported by recent literature studies. Ensure that the paper has passed the proposal defense before proceeding to the
next step!

2. Ethical Review
All research, with or without human participants, must be submitted for ethics review.

Requirements:
1. One accomplished application form
2. Accomplished Study Protocol Self-Assessment Checklist
3. Research Manuscript chapter 1-3
4. Signed Endorsement letter from the advisor (for Undergraduate Studies)/ Signed Endorsement letter from the
Graduate School (for Graduate Studies)
5. Sample Questionnaire/Survey Form/Interview Guide (if there's any)
6. Informed Consent Form patterned from WHO ICF Template
7. Participant recruitment materials (if there's any)
8. CV of the researcher(s)
9. Research fee payment receipts compiled in one document/ folder (if not included in the tuition)

- Send requirements to rdic.qc@fatima.edu.ph and wait for the acknowledgement of email. Send a follow up if you
didn't receive a response within 24 hours. Your application is officially accepted if you received a reference number. -
Processing of initial submission and resubmission is 14 working days.

3. Data Gathering
It’s time to carry out your methodology and gather the data you need for your research.

Note: Do not start the data collection if you are still in the process of Ethics Review, or you have not yet received an
Ethics Review approved decision letter.

4. Data Analysis
It's time to analyze the data you have gathered.
If your statistician is affiliated with OLFU, kindly fill out the form found in this link: shorturl.at/ghtGI

Note:
-Have it signed by your statistician and send it to rdic.qc@fatima.edu.ph.
- Once you receive a reference number from the office, send the reference number to your adviser.

5. Plagiarism Check

Requirements:
1. complete manuscript (abstract to references; exclude the appendices and preliminary pages)
2. Signed Endorsement letter from the advisor (for Undergraduate Studies)/ Signed Endorsement letter from the
Graduate School (for Graduate Studies)
3. Application form found in this link: shorturl.at/ehBDR
4. Study completion form (this is given along with the ethics review approved decision letter)

Note:
- Send requirements to rdic.qc@fatima.edu.ph and wait for the acknowledgement of email.
-Send a follow up if you didn't receive a response within 24 hours. Your application is officially accepted if you received
a reference number.
-Processing of submission takes 14 working days.

6. Final Defense
The final execution of the approved research. Your research panel will now evaluate the overall content of your
research output. Make sure to revise your paper based on the recommendations of the panel.
