My vision for the future of the African continent, what does the future look like to you and

how do
you wish to bring it about

My vision for the future of the African content is to have one that is self-dependent on itself and is
based on the Economic, social and political pillars that can ultimately be achieved through
industrialization. The Africa continent is regarded to be the one with the most natural resources such
as diamonds, sugar, salt, gold, iron, cobalt, uranium, copper, bauxite, silver, and petroleum but for
many of the countries within the continent they are yet to achieve economic growth through
industrialization. According to the United National Industrial Development Organization, Africa
countries account for just 1.5% share of the world's total manufacturing output.

The biggest factors that have affect the industrialization of Africa include:

 Low purchasing power of people due to poverty


 Political instability/civil wars/power wrangles among leaders and border disputes have
slowed industrialization
 Neo – colonialism, where resource of the countries are owned by multinational companies
from former colonies
 Government policies

I believe the future of Africa through improved industrialization, will be about a high quality of life
for the different countries in the continent by providing a improved economy as our purchasing
power will be high and also
