Having no idea on how to create a syllabus placed the whole class in complete distraught.

We
had the same question, “Will we be able to make it?” I was paired with Miss Joanna Bagual and to be
honest, it was quite challenging since we both don’t have a knowledge where to start and I kept on
thinking that crafting a syllabus is way beyond my capacity. During the process of creating the syllabus, it
was overwhelming and exhausting because we don’t know what relevant topics to input, where to find
credible sources to support our ideas, and we were afraid that the syllabus we were about to make was
inaccurate. However, the anxiousness we felt turned into a realization; that is, knowing the importance
of syllabus to teachers, students, colleagues, and administrators.

A syllabus is crucial to teachers. It maps out what a teacher exactly have to do every day in class.
It serves as a guide so that teachers don’t end the class session too early or too soon. It also serves as a
semester- or quarter-long reminder about every detail a teacher needs to cover with students.
