How to Configure the CD Index

To configure the service documentation CD index, do the following:

1. Insert the CD into your computer and double-click on the FieldServiceDocs.pdf file.
2. Click on the red search button on the main documentation screen.

2. Click on the Indexes button

3. Click on the Add button:
4. Navigate to the CD-drive, click on the index.pdx file and then click on the Open
button:

5. Click the OK button:

6. Verify that the index has been configured by looking at the text at the bottom of the
search screen. You should see the phrase “Searching in the Service CD: 4-30-2001
index”.
How to Search the Entire CD (Home)
1. Click on the red search button on the main screen.
2. The dialog box shown below appears. Type in the word or words you wish tosearch
for, then click search (see example below).

Example: Suppose you want to find documentation on head coils.

a) Click on the red search button.

b) In the search box, type in: head coil
c) Click on the Search button
d) In the Search Results box, a list of all the documents with the phrase “head coil”
appears:

e) Scroll down to the document you think most likely contains the information you
want. In this case, “Tech Manuals: AIRIS”, and then double-click on that file:
 f) The search will take you directly to the first occurrence of the phrase “head coil”
in the AIRIS technical guides. To proceed to the next occurrence, press the “Ctrl”
and “]“ keys at the same time or “Edit Search Next”.

How to Zoom (Home)

To zoom in or out, do one of the following:

1. Press the magnifying glass icon with a “+” sign to zoom in and a “-“ sign to zoom
out.

2. Select the magnification level you want from the drop down box (100%, 150%, etc.)
