After visiting the BISAG-N, we really observed the control room in action.
Observed how satellite communication and space organization. Understood
how telecasting integral part of any leading industry is. A visit provided a
detailed look at how big business operates. We had the opportunity to see
numerous technological departments and the individuals who power
businesses like BISAG. We got a glimpse of how several industries are
evolving thanks to cutting-edge technologies and highly automated,
adaptable manufacturing processes.
2. DoorDarshan, Ahmedabad

Aim of the visit: -

 To have a deep sense of learning how a transmitter of capacity 10kw

functions with such an efficient and vast coverage of 93.8% of land
area and 97.4% of population of Gujarat.

 To gain knowledge of two-tier service provided by ‘Prasar

Bharti’ and how they simulcast different programs at different
hours.

Details of the visit: -

Their main work at DoorDarshan was –

 The DD India satellite channel has been broadcasted into 146

countries, with national telecast introduced in 1982.

 The color television began in India with the live telecast of

the Independence Day speech by then Prime Minister of
India, Smt. Indira Gandhi on 15th of August 1982.

 It transmitted over a network of nearly 1400 terrestrial

transmitters in 2017, with 46 studios producing T.V.
programs.

 Regular Daily transmission started in 1965 as a part of All

India Radio, with five-minute news bulletin read.
 Until 1975 it was the sole TV service provider, catering its
services in seven different cities in the country, later
extending it to Mumbai and Amritsar.

 It separated its TV services from radio, officially with

separate directors, within a few years becoming a national
broadcaster.

 The broadcasting services were also extended to foreign

lands, in the United Kingdom it was available through the
Eurobird satellite on the sky systems channel.

 We were also been given the chance of being a part of a live

telecast of a cultural program.

 We earned a platform to learn from the video and audio

engineers about the science and hard work behind the
filming of a professional telecom screening. We saw what all
it takes to telecast a bulletin. The green screens for replacing
the background with the channel’s trademark.

 We learned about communication via the transmitters and

receivers, which enables the dish TV to broadcast a
scheduled television program. The communication engineers
stayed with us till the end of the tour to resolve if you had
any doubts or questions.
Outcome of the visit: -

 We learnt about the Doordarshan and their telecasting units

and studios.

 The highly advanced and up to date transmitters used in the

transmission and broadcasting of radio and TV services to
various parts of the country.

 There were different studios and recording rooms for

different purposes, such as live telecast, broadcasting at a
particular time.

 Their on-wheels live broadcasting van, which can cover the

different parts of the city with a portable transmitter and
studio facilities.

Conclusion: -

After visiting the Doordarshan, we observed how a radio service works and
how a news program is recorded and broadcasted at desired time. How live
telecasting works and various equipment’s and technologies used in the
process. We got to know about the vast use of information broadcasting and
how money is generated from it. It had been an amazing experience to visit
and view the functioning of a channel that is being telecasted from
generations. We were gratified to explore the wonders of mass media. It was
a blissful experience at Doordarshan that glorified our day with laughs and
knowledge. The overall expedition was knowledgeable and exciting.
3. e – INFOCHIPS, Ahmedabad

Aim of the visit: -

 To get a better insight to modern technology.

 The different kind of computer-based services provided in the world.

 To enhance the knowledge of students.

Details of the visit: -

 E-Infochips is a Product Engineering and Semiconductor
Design Services headquartered in San Jose and Ahmedabad and
offers services for Device, Digital, Silicon, and Quality
engineering. In January 2018, the company was acquired by
Arrow Electronics, for its specialization in IoT and product
transformation capabilities.
 e-Infochips offers services across the following areas, from
concept to deployment, and sustenance: Silicon Engineering,
Digital Engineering, Device Engineering and Quality
Engineering.
 Digital Engineering consists of the following:
o IOT (INTERNET OF THINGS).
o ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING.
o MOBILITY SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS.
o CLOUD SERVICES.
o BIG DATA ANALYTICS.
o REMOTE DEVICE MANAGEMENT.
 After a brief explanation of the service provided by Einfochips, we
were shown to their demonstration room where several the company's
products were displayed. Some of these products even served as
solutions for other businesses that wanted EInfochips' assistance with
a system problem or a customer requirement.

 We also learnt about the Smart heavy equipment in transport and

logistics. Many businesses are using RFID to save labour expenses
while still reaching high levels of inventory accuracy, order processing
speed, and shipping and receiving accuracy. However, company
owners must pay a significant sum for accident-related injuries,
material loss, or shipment delays as a result of drivers' irresponsible
behaviour when operating large trucks or conveyors. These risks can
be reduced by utilising cutting-edge technology that can track driver
behaviour and send alarms in the event of potential crashes.
 We also learnt about the Security System such as:
● Door Lock System
● Smart Camera
 After evaluating the client’s requirement, eInfochips proposed a
solution leveraging Eragon 820 module based on Qualcomm
Snapdragon 820 platform. eInfochips undertook the end-to-end
development of the HMI for the client’s home appliance, including
hardware design and firmware development.

 We also learnt about the 3D EYEWEAR because the customer sought

battery-operated 3D eyewear spectacles with full HD OLED displays
for each eye and the necessary interfaces, as well as a head-tracking
user interface and a motion-tracking sensor. In order to do this, the
client needed a design partner who has previously delivered solutions
based on Qualcomm® processors and could support not only the
development of eyeglass hardware but also software and certification
testing.

 We also Learnt about the technologies related Biometrics and Face

Recognition. With a purchase that expanded their range by seven
product families and more than forty product variants, the clients'
delivery complexity increased dramatically over night. The
engineering capabilities of this manufacturer of security and identity
management systems were constrained to their European headquarters.
Outcome of the visit: -

 This visit gave us the opportunity to learn about the latest technology
utilized by different businesses, and it also assisted us in determining our
interests and the type of career we want to pursue soon.

 They also set up a question-and-answer session for us where we could ask

any questions we had about the technology and the product, and advice
was given on the steps to take if we wanted to choose or work in any of
the sectors they had addressed.

designing and the processor and the students who have interested in
hardware technology and IoT can go there for internship and course too
which will be very helpful in future hardware production company.
We also got the knowledge how the big business work and operates with
technologies
