TOPIC: THE JOSHUA BREED

TEACHER: DPFA GRACE KYOMUKAMA

DATE: TUESDAY, 22ND NOVEMBER 2022

Thank you father for the salvation of our souls and for the privilege and honour to be called to
serve in your vineyard. Father, please anoint us afresh for your service as yesterday's anointing
may not be sufficient for today's tasks and responsibilities. Thank you Abba Father.

When we are starting a new project in our personal lives, we think of new ways to make things
better than before. When God wants something powerful to be done, he always raises up a new
breed of people.

Revival is here and with it emerges a new crop of believers. This generation is rising with grace
in their hearts to do his bidding, filled with humility in their lifestyle and truth burning in their
bones!

In the beginning of the book of Joshua, the great leader Moses had died and now it was time for
Joshua to arise and take his place. Joshua needed a fresh revelation, couldn't rely on Moses
revelation. God's plan for Joshua was to enter the land to conquer it. Joshua had no thought of
surrender, he believed he could conquer and take full possession which he did.

God is calling upon us to arise and take our place. We live in a day where many of God's people
are walking in defeat and discouragement. But God's destiny for each one of us is that we should
shine bright as described in the text below
Song of Songs 6:10 .... she who looks forth as the morning,Fair as the moon,Clear
as the sun,Awesome as an army with banners

As we arise and take our place, we are not fighting people rather a system. God has raised a
generation before that took territory for him led by Joshua. Now follow me as we briefly study
this special breed and commit ourselves to emulating them.

JOSHUA; FROM SLAVE TO LEADER

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving
strength of His right hand.

God chose Joshua to lead the Israelites into the promised land not Moses. As he did for Joshua,
God has a special calling for each one of us so it's imperative that we hear God's road map for
ourselves personally and commit faithfully to it!

Joshua started out as a slave in Egypt, he experienced rejection and felt inferior not to mention
the physical hurt that slaves experience in society but he did not allow this experience to define
him.

The story of Joshua testifies of the fact that what the enemy meant to destroy us, God will use it
to lift us up and glorify himself in us. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work
together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to
His purpose.

JOSHUA; SUBMITTED SERVANT

Joshua gave his life, destiny and future into the hands of his leader Moses. This is a hard test for
many.
No matter who is above us, God is the ultimate authority and he is the one who places others
above us. Submission to them is submission to the one that placed them there.

With the woundedness of our lives, lack of fathering, lack of good role models, these are used as
excuses by many to ran away from submitting to another.

Unfortunately untill we learn to submit to another and his vision, it is hard for us to receive
God's blessing.
Luke 16:12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give
you what is your own?

STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

It is tempting to think of a servant leader as timid, quiet, and unassertive. However, putting
others first does not equal being passive or insecure. If anything, it requires strength and
courage.
The task Joshua has will not be easy or safe, and he cannot do it alone. But God says Be strong
and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your
God is with you wherever you go.”

We are wired to put our own survival and our own needs and desires first, but God calls us to
serve others first.
This starts with trusting in the Lord, then you don’t have to worry about yourself.
He will protect and provide for you. This frees you up to be strong and courageous,
to lead others in a way that supports them and enables them to thrive.

JOSHUA THE SOLDIER!

Joshua was now free but faithfully took orders from Moses and God.
This next season was one of learning warfare and becoming a soldier. When they started out on
the journey to the promised land, they encountered the Amalekites.

Exodus 17:13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the
sword.
Real leaders will not allow an attack to stop them, in fact what the attack does is arouse the
dissatisfaction and revolutionary spirit within you to stand and fight. Great men and women of
God do not quit in face of battles, they refuse to give up and let the enemy take over! Even when
everyone gives up, they remain standing for the truth!

JOSHUA THE SEEKER

Both Moses and Joshua loved to marinade themselves in the presence of the Lord. God spoke
face to face with Moses, now thats up close and personal and yet he sought him more and more.
How close do you want to get to God?
When Joshua went to the tent, he did not want to leave. He remained there even after Moses
had left.

I stand in the shoes of my father PFA to decree and declare that God is raising in
our midst, a generation that will go in and not get out, one that will want to
worship God all day long in everything we do, a generation that will radiate his
glory like never before! A generation that will not leave even after God shows up
mightily in Jesus mighty name.
You are that generation, receive the grace in Jesus mighty name

Exodus 33:9 And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the
pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord
talked with Moses.

Exodus 33:10 All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door,
and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.

Exodus 33:11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his
friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a
young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

COMPLETE OBEDIENCE
Joshua's commitment to the Lord was one of complete obedience.

Joshua was firmly in control of his actions only because he had his eyes fixed on the
commandments of the Lord. The wisdom with which he led the people was by the Spirit of God
whom he filly obeyed.

Joshua 24:15.....But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Surely the Lord loves, more than anything else, an unwavering determination to
obey His counsel.

JOSHUA THE FORERUNNER

Joshua was a prophetic leader, he went ahead of the Israelites deep into the enemy's territory
and returned with a God focused report which worked as a vision board for the Israelites as they
advanced to conquer the territory.
Joshua was a man of faith, courage and strength.

Like Joshua, you might find yourself in a job or situation where you do not want to stay. If you
will serve, conquer the flesh, trust in the intercession of Jesus, do what is right and keep a good
attitude, and wait on the Lord through it all, God may keep you where you are for a while, but
He will open the door for you someday. When the door opens, be ready to say “Yes, God.” Say
yes to your destiny, to His calling. He’s been getting you ready for the Promised Land. You will
rejoice in Jesus mighty name.

I pray this message stirs you up to grow from your past into leadership, to rise and
face challenges courageously, and to faithfully serve those God has placed in
leadership above you.

I decree and declare that we shall all seek a passionate relationship with God and
desire to personally encounter the Father.

I decree and declare that we shall all enlist in this emerging Joshua
breed/generation.

In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
