How they work: The beads are actually UV beads, so they are
activated with sunlight. I typically do my bracelets on
the first day of school before we go on our school
tour (in which we go outside). We do the organizer-
make predictions, etc. I make it a super big deal and
explain that when the bracelets’ magic activates that
means they are officially first graders. You can easily
do this during test taking season (when they activate
their brains are ready for the test) or at the end of
the year (officially ready for the next grade, etc. You
can get really creative!
