Don't Smoke

First, we should stop smoking. There is no doubt that smoking has many
negative effects on many body systems and functions, but its most serious impact
is on the respiratory system. Smoking causes many respiratory diseases that can be
chronic and dangerous, such as lung cancer. Therefore, not smoking or quitting
smoking is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of these diseases.
Avoid exposure to pollutants
Secondly, we should avoid exposure to pollutants.Exposure to pollutants in
the air can damage your lungs and accelerate aging. For example, avoid
secondhand smoke, and try not to go outside during peak air pollution
times, avoid exercising near heavy traffic, as you can inhale the exhaust
and we should also wear mask during haze or during a pandemic outbreak.

EAT MORE FOOD-BASED ANTIOXIDANTS

Besides that, healthy eating also contributes for healthy lungs. We

should practice eating more food-based antioxidants. Pollutants in the
air trigger oxidative damage in the lungs. Thus, we should eat organic
fruits, veggies and also herbs for antioxidants support.

STAY ACTIVE

We should also exercise regularly. Exercise has a positive effect in

purifying and supporting the respiratory system. Exercise helps increase the
strength of the lungs, improve its ability to exchange gases, give the body its
oxygen requirement, and enhance the ability of the immune system to fight
diseases.

DEEP BREATHING

Lastly, we should also practice deep breathing exercises. Deep breathing

exercises such as diaphragmatic or belly breathing can improve the
efficiency of the lung because deep breathing can help you get closer to
reaching your lungs’ full capacity.
