Odyssey Finale

The Odyssey is an epic, a very long poem on a single theme. Some epics were composed to be

performed from memory, so they include poetic devices to make them more memorable. And

many epics, probably including The Odyssey, were written to be performed with musical

accompaniment. According to my research, Robert Fitzgerald's Translation of Homer's Odyssey

is the best and most loved modern translation of the greatest of all epic poems. Since 1961, this

Odyssey has sold more than two million copies and is the standard translation for three gentions

of students and poets.

Communication in this story is a fundamental basis, but it also leaves us with a reflection on

what happens if we completely miscommunicate. A number of questions begin to emerge, many

doubts and few answers. People can think the worst, they can submerge a lot of doubts, and

loyalty is the last thing we start to question if it is worth thinking positive. And Well, I think that

this depends on the person and the relationship they have. The story that connects with that

person That influences a lot and I don't think it matters to wait if you believe in that person and

the connection is strong, it will be loyalty for life.

Poseidon purposefully sabotaged a couple of the attempts at returning home that Odysseus had

put into motion at that point in the epic however, he was relentless in his pursuit of his home and

of genuinely getting back to his one-time love, Penelope. Even Athena and Zeus understood the

value in Odysseus as a person and Athena going as far as dressing up as a beggar to investigate

what was occurring at the kingdom. Odysseus had nothing but a tenaciously determined attitude

towards his goal of getting back to Ithaca and Penelope

Something that also surprised me is that the suitors could have shown loyalty in favor of

Penelope and not have taken advantage of the trust of the comfort of the kingdom, I also think

that the suitors could have even shown a minimum loyalty to the king who was absent and

respect his kingdom however they did not, and they were very selfish.

This story continues in the following podcast, already giving its end to this wonderful story.

After a good time (many years) Odysseus returns to his home, and he thinks of all the people

who were faithful to him but up to a certain point they were. Was it his fault or was it his friends

fault for losing trust along his path. I know that Odysseus was away from home for a long time

and without communication for that reason, to what extent did he have the confidence and

lethality that they expected from him without knowing his whereabouts.
