1 NEED FOR THE STUDY

Work life balance is the valuable and effective factor in an organization. It deals with
employees work and life style. Most of the employees are highly affected by the work load
and job stress. The long term relationship of the employer and the employee is not inline
which also has an impact in the personal life of individuals. I have considered this study as
important as the need to balance both work life and personal life.
2 REVIEW OF LITERATURE

 Turanlıgil and Farooq( 2019)The proactive, aggressive and demanding

nature of business with the intention of reaching the top requires active
involvement and comprehensive devotion from the employees, thereby
compromising their work-life balance (WLB)

 Bram Adams (2017) observed that in the past few years, the overload of work
has led to mental illnesses such as burnout and has attracted more public
attention. This article is the preliminary step of using the method of mining
software repository to analyze the working mode of software developers and
possible indicators of overload and time pressure.

 Margaret Deery, Leo Jago, (2015) have said that retaining good staff in the
hospitality industry is a constant source of concern for practitioners and a
continuing area of interrogation for hospitality academics (Yang et al., 2012;
Davidson and Wang, 2011). A key element in the research on employee
retention is the need to retain talented staff, and a number of strategies to this
end are explored in the literature such as maintaining a work-life balance
(WLB) (Qu and Zhao, 2012) and increasing job satisfaction, organizational
commitment and other employee attitudes (Ilies et al., 2009).

 Vijaya Mani (2013) has revealed the major factors influencing the Work Life
Balance of Women professionals in India such as role conflict, lack of
recognition, organizational politics, gender discrimination, elderly and
children care issues, quality of health, problems in time management and lack
of proper social support.
