Q1) WHAT IS STATISTICS ABOUT?

Statistics in one line is related to develop and study methods for collecting,
analysing, interpreting and presenting data.
It is a branch of applied mathematics.
central tendency and the measure of dispersion are the basics which are
measured through statistics.
There are two types of statistics-
1)DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS- is a way of organising, representing, and
explaining a set of data using charts and graphs. Histograms, pie charts,
bars, and scatter plots are common ways to summarise data and present it
in tables or graphs.
2)INFERENTIAL STATISTICS- it is used to interpret the meaning of data
which is collected from descriptive statistics. Inferential statistics are used
to derive conclusions and inferences from samples, i.e., to create accurate
generalisations.

Q2) WHERE IN THE REAL-LIFE STATISTICS HAS BEEN USED TILL NOW?
IS THERE A NEW POSSIBILITY OF ITS FURTHER APPLICATION?

Statistics is used in many real-life situations like-

1)weather forecasting-statistics is used to predict the weather of an area.

Probability is used to inform the audience will it be rainy, snowy, hot etc.

2)hospitals-medical institutions receive a lot of data per day of patients.

Statistics helps in organising this data in proper form and this helps in easy
and fast access of this information.

3)population trends-statistics helps in the proper recording of population

data like their age, colour, sex, etc. then the trends and patterns in the
population can be easily found out and the related economic and financial
decisions can be taken.
4)sports-statistics is used in sports like cricket, football, etc. It helps the
players and coaches to figure out the weak spots and then they can
improve them. It is also used to figure out the winning probability of the
team.

Yes, statistics will be used in future also because of unlimited data. People
need to see data in every field in organised form and then make
interpretations.

It has a high scope in future just like in present.

Q3) PLEASE MAKE A LIST OF TOP 25 SUCCESSFUL PERSONS AND

THEIR EDUCATION, AND MAKE A SCATTER PLOT OF THESE DATA
SETS.

We can see that school dropouts are the most in the chart pattern that’s

why the dot is at the top.

The 8th pass is only 1 that’s why it is at the lowest

We can also see even there are more dropouts still they are successfull
