INTRODUCTION

Generally, term of motivation can be defined as process that guide, give spirit and
maintained-goals oriented behaviors. It involves emotional, biological, social and cognitive
process. Motivation can divide into two parts which is intrinsic and extrinsic. These parts of
motivation influence our daily life and activities. Everyone has their own belief and
motivation which can give spirit and achievement to become success and besides can attract
positive vibes. In education, there are some students we can see certain are motivated and
some students are not motivated.

Extrinsic can refer as a behavior that driven by external rewards. Rewards can be like
money, present, praise, good grade and get promoted. It involved in operant conditioning
which is someone do something to get reward or consequences. For example, students study
hard in order to get high marks or to get higher pointer in certain subject. Another example,
working hard in task or project to get promoted by leader or praise.

Intrinsic is an action or doing something for its inherent satisfaction rather than for some
separable consequences. As simple word, refer to behavior that is driven by internal rewards.
For example, we like and enjoy reading because have an interest and simply want to know
more about the topic that we are reading. For more example, we plant a garden, painting and
play a game because we are happy by doing that, people cannot force us to do what we want
to do it came from nature from ourselves.

So, for our project, we already prepared 20 questions for 40 students in different faculty to
get response about how they apply a motivation in their life. All data and response from
students we are collected and will see at the results and discussion.

1
METHODOLOGY

For methodology, we used Google Form to distribute question for students because it’s
makes us easier to administer question besides with this method, students can answer
question fast. Next, there are 20 of question that we already prepared which is covering all
the motivation intrinsic and extrinsic. So, based on the question, we divide it into two part
which is ten points for intrinsic and another ten points for extrinsic. The question that we
made are also with simple word and do not take too much time to answer it. Furthermore, we
add choice answer which is yes or no to answer all question from Google Form.

For this study case, we choose to administer question for four faculties at all branch around
Malaysia which is from Management and Science University Collage (MSUC) campus
Sarawak, campus Kota Bharu and other campus. From this campus, we only choose four
faculties, it is faculty School of Hospitality and Creative Arts, faculty School of Science and
Technology, Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering and last Faculty Health and
Life Sciences and we only need forty students to finished our study case.

Lastly, we used mass media for example, WHATSAPPS and TELEGRAM to receive
response from all these students. As result, we get fast response and answer from students by
using this platform. We can say that from this platform, it very fast to get answer when have
any survey or study case

CONCLUSION

So, we can conclude that, from the data that we collected, every student from different faculty
has their own opinion about motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic). Basically, we can see the
majority of each student continuing their studies because they like their course and enjoy
every moment in study. Besides, there are some students who prefer to get rewards in the
future as they are hardworking in studies. This difference determines that students are able to
study whether they enjoy it or in order to get a reward in future.

For this project, we prepared 20 question which is cover all motivation that need and we
administer to four faculty, it is faculty school of Hospitality and Creative Arts ,School of
Science and Technology, faculty of Information and faculty of health. So, our respondent is
based on these faculty that they enjoy answering our survey.

Lastly, the improvement that we have to fix in the future is we have to get as many
respondents to achieve our goal which is we are trying to understand students' style of
learning and motivation. Besides, we also can learn how to write analysis and how to
calculate data based on the respondent that we get.
