HISTORICAL EVENTS IN THE USA IN

THE 1960s.

-The Civil Rights Movement in the United States: was a

longstanding, and largely nonviolent, struggle to extend
full access to civil rights and equality under the law to
groups that do not have them, especially African-American
citizens.

-FESTIVAL DE WOODSTOCK:
Woodstock 99 began on August 15 and ended on August
18, 1969. It became a nightmare. Hunger, thirst,
mistreatment, infernal heat, exorbitant prices, fires,
looting, assaults, rapes and deaths. Three days that had
little peace and celebration. The place was turning into a
disaster zone.
-THE ARRIVAL TO THE MOON:
Apollo 11 was the fifth manned mission of the United
States Apollo Program and the first in history to land a
human being on the Moon. The Apollo mission spacecraft
was sent into space on July 16, 1969, landed on the moon
on July 20 of that same year, and the next day two
astronauts (Armstrong and Aldrin) became the first to walk
on the lunar surface.
