MAE - Save with Tabung Campaign - Terms and Conditions

MAE – Save with Tabung Campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by Malayan Banking Berhad (Registration No.
196001000142) (“Maybank”) and shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions herein. By participating in this
Campaign, the Eligible Participants (as defined in Clause 1 below) hereby expressly agree to be bound by these
Terms and Conditions and any decisions made by Maybank in respect of the Campaign shall be final and binding.

1. Eligibility and Platform


1.1. This Campaign is open to all individuals who have an active Maybank Anytime Everywhere (“MAE”)
account in the MAE by Maybank2u App.
1.2. All individual customers who have fulfilled the above criteria will hereinafter be referred to as “Eligible
Participants”.
1.3. Permanent and contract employees of Virtual Banking and Payments & Strategic Digital departments of
Maybank are not eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw.
1.4. This Campaign is accessible through the MAE app (Version 0.8.2 and above). The latest version of the
app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

2. Campaign Mechanics and Conditions


2.1. Campaign Period: 19 August 2022, 0000 hour (MYT) – 18 November 2022, 2359 hour (MYT), both dates
inclusive (“Campaign Period”).
2.2. To participate and be eligible to win the Prize(s) [as defined in Clause 3 below], Eligible Participant(s) are
required to do the following:
a. Create a new Individual Tabung of any category via the MAE app during the Campaign Period;
b. The Tabung created must be set up according to the following start and end date:
2.2.b.1. Start date: Between 19 August 2022 to 17 November 2022
2.2.b.2. End date: 18 November 2022;
c. Save a minimum of RM500 with any Tabung Boosters activated during the Campaign Period; and
d. The Eligible Participant is not allowed to remove their deposits from the Tabung during the Campaign
Period. Should there be any removal of funds during the Campaign Period, the Eligible Participant is
automatically deemed ineligible.
2.3. Example

How to participate in MAE – Save with Tabung Campaign

Step 1: Create a new Individual Tabung.


Step 2: Set a minimum amount of RM500 to save.
Step 3: Select the start date of the Tabung - any date from 19 August 2022 until 17 November 2022. The
earlier you start the faster you can complete your goal.
Step 4: The end/completion date of the Tabung must be set as 18 November 2022.
Step 5: Select an account to link to this goal in order for Maybank to know which account to transfer your
funds saved in the Tabung to when your goal is closed or completed.
Step 6: Set either auto deduction or manual saving.
Step 7: Activate any Tabung Boosters to your goal so you can complete your goal faster.
Step 8: Now, start adding funds to your Tabung to reach to your goal before the completion date to stand
a chance to win a Prize at the end of the Campaign.

2.5. You can contribute to the Tabung by:


a. automatically deducting from your current, savings or MAE account on a weekly or monthly basis,
provided that you have sufficient balance in your current, savings or MAE account on the date of
deduction; or
b. manually crediting funds into the Tabung
2.6. Tabung Boosters: You must activate this feature in your MAE App for this newly created Tabung. When
the Tabung Booster feature is used, please note the following:
a. You are required to choose which type of Tabung Booster you wish to activate or you may activate
all Tabung Boosters made available on the MAE App. Any amount triggered from Tabung Booster(s)
used in more than one (1) Tabung will be distributed evenly across the relevant goals.
b. You must ensure that there is sufficient balance in your linked account when you activate and use the
Tabung Booster(s). If the linked account balance is insufficient, the amount for that particular
transaction due will not be credited to the Tabung Booster.
2.7. For further information on the features and illustration of each category of the Tabung Booster(s), kindly

2.8. After the end of Campaign Period, Eligible Participants who are eligible to win will be randomly selected
by using a randomiser (“Winner(s)”) and the results will be announced within thirty (30) days after the end
of Campaign Period.

3. Prizes
3.1. Lucky Draw Prizes
a. Each Eligible Participant is only allowed to win one out of the 65 prizes (“Prize(s)”) as follows:-

b. The image of the Prizes (if any) in any brochure, marketing, or Campaign material relating to the
Prizes is for illustration purposes only.
c. The Prize(s) does/do not include any accessories or items shown in any advertisements and/or
promotional materials as they are for illustrative purposes only.
d. Maybank reserves the right to request documentation or written proof of identification, age, and place
of residence of any or all Winner(s) prior to the collection of their Prize(s) for verification to ensure
compliance with Terms and Conditions.
e. All Winners' names and their IC numbers (last 4 digits) will be published on Maybank’s official
Facebook page and the Campaign’s promotional page on http://www.maybank2u.com.my and/or any
other method of communication that Maybank deems appropriate.
f. Winners will be contacted for verification and to obtain their delivery address or email address. In
the event Maybank or its appointed representative is unable to contact the Winner after three (3)
telephone call attempts, Maybank has the discretion to deal with the Prize(s) including to re-draw
and/or select any other person as the Winner whichever Maybank considers appropriate.
g. Fulfilment of the Prize(s) will be executed within 60 business days from the date of the announcement
of Winners or such date as determined by Maybank at its discretion.
h. Maybank reserves the right to substitute the Prize(s) with any other item(s) of similar market value.
i. The Prize(s) is not redeemable or exchangeable for any other items or cash, whether in part or in full.
Winner(s) must accept the Prize(s) ‘’as is’’ and must acknowledge that Maybank shall not be held
responsible for the value of the Prize(s) due to the variation of prices in the market during the Prize(s)'
redemption/collection by them at the time stipulated by Maybank.
j. Maybank is not the supplier of the Prize(s) and makes no warranty or representation as to the quality,
merchantability and/or the fitness for purpose of the Prize(s) provided and shall not be responsible
for any defect or any other loss or damage that may be suffered in connection with the Prize(s).
k. All cost, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the Winners in relation to the Campaign
and/or claiming the Prize(s), which shall include but not limited to the cost of the transportation,
accommodation, meals, personal costs and/or other costs, are the sole responsibility of the Winners.
3.2. Maybank’s decision on all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final and binding. No correspondence
relating to the selection of the winner will be entertained.
3.3. Maybank will not ask for any banking details such as credit card/debit card number and bank transaction
authorization code (TAC), account password, PIN or one-time password (OTP) from the Winner(s) to claim
the Prize or for any reason whatsoever.
3.4. The Winner(s) acknowledges and agrees that Maybank reserves the right to disqualify participation in this
Campaign or withdraw any Prize(s) from the Winner(s) if;
a. The Winner is found or suspected of tampering with the Campaign mechanics or the operations of
the Campaign;
b. The Winner is found or suspected of undertaking fraudulent activities or other activities harmful to the
Campaign; or
c. The Winner is in breach of his/her obligations or any Terms and Conditions of this Campaign.
d. The Winner does not have an active MAE account at the time of drawing of Prizes and announcement
of Prizes.

Notwithstanding the above, Maybank reserves the right to disqualify any participation without assigning any
reasons whatsoever.

4. General Terms and Conditions


4.1. Maybank shall not be responsible or held liable in respect of technical failures of any kind whatsoever,
intervention, interruptions, and/or electronic or human errors in the administration and/or processing of the
transaction performed via the MAE app, M2U app, Maybank2u Biz, Maybank2u, or Maybank2e provided
the same is not caused by Maybank.

4.2. Maybank reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend, extend or terminate this Campaign earlier in
whole or in part and reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions contained herein, from
time to time by giving at least a minimum of twenty-one (21) days (“day” shall have the same meaning as
calendar day), prior notice thereof, the notice of which shall be posted through the Maybank2u website at
www.maybank2u.com.my or through any other channel determined by Maybank. It shall be the
responsibility of the Eligible Participants to be informed of or otherwise seek out any such notice validly
posted.

4.3. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants agree to access the Maybank2u website at
www.maybank2u.com.my on a regular basis to view the terms and conditions herein and seek clarification
from Maybank should any of the Terms & Conditions be not fully understood.

4.4. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions
herein and agree and consent to allow his/her personal data being collected, processed and used by
Maybank in accordance with the Maybank Privacy Statement, which may be viewed on
www.maybank2u.com.my (“Maybank’s Privacy Statement”) and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010
(PDPA) Form for Individual Customers.
In addition, and without prejudice to the terms in Maybank’s Privacy Statement and the Personal Data
Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) Form for Individual Customers, Eligible Participants agree and consent to
his/her personal data or information to be collected, processed and used by Maybank for

a. the purposes of the Campaign; and


b. marketing and promotional activities conducted by Maybank, including but not limited to any form of
advertising or publicity media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through
newspapers, television networks, radio stations or online and digital media and on the Internet.
Marketing and promotion activities include without limitation the use and/or publication of any details
provided in and/or in connection to the entries, interview material as well responses and related
photographs. In this regard, Eligible Participants agree to co-operate and participate in all advertising
and publicity activities of Maybank in relation to the Campaign.

4.5. Maybank and its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including without limitation,
any third-party service providers engaged by Maybank for the purposes of this Campaign) shall not be
liable to Eligible Participants in this Campaign for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or
damage (including but not limited to, loss of income, profits or goodwill) arising from or in connection with
this Campaign unless caused by any gross negligence or omission by Maybank.

4.6. Maybank shall not be liable for any default of its obligation under this Campaign due to any force majeure
events which include but not limited to act of God, war, riot, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought,
storm, epidemic and pandemic or any events beyond the reasonable control of Maybank.

4.7. Maybank may disqualify/reject any Eligible Participant who does not comply with the terms and conditions
stated herein and/or are found or suspected to be tampering with the Campaign and/or its process or the
operations of this Campaign which includes fraudulent activities involving any act of deceit and/or
deception and/or cheating with regards to the Campaign.

4.8. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
