SERVER ROLES
Member Roles
It’s good to have a specific
level of roles in your server.
Server Owner Role,
Administrator/Moderator,
Bots, VIPs, Subscribers, and
Followers.
Each Role you will want to
assign what they can and can
not do in the server.
The default Role in the server
is @everyone.
Display of Each
Role within Server
◦ You can also assign a color for
each role, as well as whether
you want the role to display in
the roles list and if you want all
members to be able to tag this
role in chat rooms.
◦ From this screen you can also
select to View Server As Role.
Role
Permissions
This area will set the general
permissions within the server.
You can also set the
permissions for each Role
differently in each chat room.
There are general server
permissions, text channel
permissions, voice channel
permissions, events
permissions and
administrator permissions.
CHAT ROOM
PERMISSIONS
Each Role can be set up with different Permissions for each Chat Room
◦ You can set Role Permissions within the
various Categories and Chat Rooms
individually.
◦ For general Message Boards you can set the
same permissions for each chat room within
Permissions
feature chat rooms are set up in that Category,
they will default to that Categories Permissions.
◦ You can also set the rooms to private so that
only certain Roles can see and post messages
in those chats.
◦ There is a lot of customization with this
feature.
Channel
◦ All the roles that have Administrator Permissions will have access to all
chat rooms.
◦ All the other roles will need to be set up to be able to see, type and
share photos and links or be able to use voice chats within the server.
Permissions ◦ The green check means that they can do that activity, the grey slash
defaults to the main Role Permissions set for the server overall, and the red
x means that they can not do that thing within that text chat or voice chat.
