Replacement exams in Pakistan in the June 2021 series

Due to the continuing spread of Covid-19 across the country, the Government of Pakistan made
the decision to cancel Cambridge O Level and Cambridge IGCSE examinations in Pakistan for
the June 2021 series.

Subsequently, with the permission from the Government of Pakistan, Cambridge International
were able to run a set of replacement exams in Pakistan in the June 2021 series for a selected
number of Cambridge O Level and Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses in 14 key subjects, in order to
facilitate student progression.

For our systems to distinguish between the results of the June 2021 series and the results of the
June 2021 replacement exams in Pakistan only, we had to assign each of the 14 syllabuses a
new syllabus code.

The syllabus content remained the same and students were assessed on that content.

These new syllabus codes will appear on the Cambridge International statement of results for
students from Pakistan for the June 2021 series only.
