The owner of the Erlenbacher Farm is planning to install a small

wind turbine on his farm. The Erlenbacher Farm is located off
the main road somewhere in the Black Forest. Your team
runs an engineering office that manages all activities in
the role of the project management. Create a complete
plan for this! Prepare yourself by collecting information
regarding small wind turbines in order to get a basic
understanding what it means to build and to operate such a
small wind turbine for own use.

How to proceed for this exercise:

1. Appoint a project manager, who ensures that you can work together as
a team, and who determines in coordination with the team, which tools
you will use, how you will organise yourself, who will take care of what
and by when, etc.!
2. Start your project activities with the preparation of the important aspects
by using a Project Canvas (see next slide and chapter 9 Tool Box)!
3. Proceed according to the activities as described in the project
management phases.

Notes:
1. It is not necessary that you carry out all the steps discussed in the lecture
in detail! Decide which steps are necessary and useful in your project!
2. You may use, if you want, MS Projects for your scheduling (this is not a
MUST)!
