Census Day
The Annual School Census conducted on 31st October of every year through SIS application in order to
achieve the vision of the government to bring digital transformation

Purpose
It has become a major source of information on Education Statistics in Punjab.

Aim
To provide a detailed picture of the education sector of the province to all the relevant stakeholders;
the policy makers, researchers and implementers.
Based on the practice adopted last year, the Annual
School Census will be conducted through School
Information System (SIS). All public schools
including Primary, Elementary, Secondary and
Higher Secondary will be required to submit
updated data as per the status on 31st October,
2022.

On this day, all public schools will be
required to log into the SIS Application
in their tablets and submit updated data
as per the status on 31st October,
2022
 MOCK EXERCISE:

In mock exercise all schools are

required to enter and update data
till 15th November, 2022.
 FINAL PHASE
In final phase, submission made
in mock exercise will be removed
and all the schools will have to
submit final census form on

21 st November, 2022.
Old version of SIS will restrict the
school to enter data in school census
form. Only updated version will allow
to update data in this activity.
For submission of Census Data, All Schools Heads must:

Ensure all SIS input fields (students records, teachers and staff
records and school facilities etc.)

Submit the form on 21st November,2022 by clicking on the "Submit

Census Form" button in SIS App (School Census Section).

Primary/Elementary School heads to take print out of submitted

forms and then sign and stamp before onward submission to
relevant AEO/DMO Office. (Note; Printable census form will be
available only after AEO Verification through their AEO App (in case
of primary, Elementary school) and DMO Office verification through
DMO dashboard (in case of High / Higher Secondary School)).
In case of primary and Elementary schools, the submitted
census form will be visible to AEOs in AEO App of SIS.
AEOs will validate the data electronically by 28th
November, 2022 and AEOs will then sign and stamp
census forms mentioned in para 3(iii) above and submit all
forms in DMO Office by 5th December, 2022,

In case of High, Higher Secondary schools DMOs are

responsible for data validation and DMOs will validate the
data Electronically by 30th November, 2022. High /
Higher secondary schools will submit printed census
forms in DMO Office after verification from relevant DEO
Secondary by 5th December, 2022.

for students

Middle/High/H.Sec. Schools
8. No. of chairs/tables are zero for teachers in Primary
Schools
9. NULL NA No.
10. NULL PP No.
11. NULL School Gender
12. NULL School Location (Urban/Rural)
13. Re-verify that the school building is fully dangerous
14. Re-verify that the school is running without any kind of building
15. Re-verify, all rooms/classrooms are dangerous
16. School Name or School Level is incorrect
17. Science Lab. Is available but phy./chem./bio./combined lab is not
available
18. Toilet recently constructed but total no. of usable toilets are zero
(Yes)
19. Re-verify the disability/special children data
20. Invalid SC members
21. Check all similar indicators that are in Census & Monthly

Submission of Certificate
All AEOs will submit a certificate to
their respective DEOs by 12 th

November, 2022 that all heads of

schools have been trained
regarding the ongoing activity of
Census 2022-23
