The purpose of persuasive writing is to convince your reader to think or
act in a certain way. This means you must give more consideration to who
your audience is more than in other types of writing. What motivates one person
won’t necessarily motivate another.
Pretend you are going to write a persuasive essay about the importance of your peer
group joining organized sports. The audience matters!
Rate how motivating each factor would be for each audience on a scale of 1-5.
