Ans.2) It is not at all safe for Sita to put anything sharp into her ear. If she puts needle into
her ear, it can rupture or damage her ear drum thereby leading to hearing loss or impairment.
Ans.3) Time Period – The time taken by a vibrating object to complete one vibration is called
its time-period.
Frequency- The number of vibrations made in one second is called frequency of vibration.
Amplitude- The maximum displacement of a vibrating object from its central position is
called the amplitude of vibration.
Ans.4) The number of oscillations per second of the vibrating body is known as the frequency
of oscillation.
Frequency = Total number of oscillations
Total time taken
= 50/10
= 5 Hz
Time period is the time taken to complete one oscillation. It is also the inverse of frequency.
Time period = 1/ Oscillating frequency
= 1/5
= 0.2 s
∴ frequency = 5 Hz
Time period = 0.2 s

therefore, produces a sound of higher pitch.
