The most spoken language in Peru is Spanish. It is also sometimes called


Castilian. Spanish is the official language of Peru. and is used in government,
the media, and in education. It is the mother language of a large part of the
Peruvian inhabitants. Almost everyone can speak and understand it.

Spanish is also spoken throughout Latin America, Central America, Spain. In


addition to Spanish, there are more than 48 languages, of which 44 are
Amazonian languages and 4 are Andean languages. But Quechua
predominates where it is spoken in the Peruvian highlands.
Spanish is an ancient language, it comes from Latin and is one of the most
widely spoken languages in the world. The language is written from left to right
and has a large alphabet.
