On behalf of La Frontera International Piano Conference 2023, I would like to thank you for
your interest in participating in the first edition of our conference titled El Piano
Latinoamericano, and I am happy to tell you that your proposal Chirripo S i e has been
accepted!

Our conference will take place between Thursday, March 2, and Saturday, March 4, 2023.
All the events will be held on the shared campus of two institutions, The University of
Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Texas Southmost College. Details on the schedule for the
conference will be provided a month in advance. If your participation will be in person,
please make plans to arrive in Brownsville on Wednesday, March 1, and depart on Sunday,
March 5. If traveling by air, the best airport to flight into is the Brownsville-South Padre
Island International Airport. If you have any scheduling conflicts that will prevent you
from being present throughout the entirety of the conference, please let us know ASAP so
that we can schedule your presentation accordingly.

We ask that you please confirm your attendance to the conference and pay the registration
fee no later than Ja a 15. Instructions on how to submit your payment will be emailed
soon. If your presentation is in the form of a pre-recorded video, please send the file to us
no later than Feb a 15.

The city of Brownsville sits on the southernmost tip of the Rio Grande Valley, a large region
in south Texas known for its cultural diversity, historical landmarks, semitropical
weather,and exotic wildlife. Its proximity to the Mexican border makes the Valley a place
where cultures literally meet, making it an ideal setting for the exchange of artistic ideas. It
is in this scenario that we are happy to launch El Piano La inoamericano as a celebration of
the rich musical heritage that flourishes so close to our border and throughout and beyond
the rest of the American continent.
