Hello, today we are going to talk a bit about Margaret Heafield, a woman integrated into technologies

who revolutionized studies.

She created the software code used to identify enemy aircraft. She worked at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) Instrumentation Laboratory, where she became the leader of the team
working on NASA's Apollo project. She was the first woman responsible for this function.

Her job was to anticipate problems that might occur (bugs) and create solutions through software.

Because of the flight software for NASA's Apollo 11 mission, Margaret was honored in 2016 with the
Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Barack Obama.

I hope you have learned more about this great computer scientist who gave a lot to the world of
software and technology.
