Directed by Carter, based on a true story, it stars Samuel L. Jackson as Ken Carter. Ken was offered

a job coaching the basketball team at his old high school, Richmond High School. He took over

basketball coaching and tried to improve the underprivileged neighborhoods of Richmond. But his

more important goal was to motivate and coach his basketball student-athletes on his team.

He has athletes sign contracts that they can only enter the game if they attend all classes at

school and have average grades. It also states that you must wear a suit and tie on game day and

respect your teammates and coaches/teachers. , motivating and helping on the road to an

undefeated state championship. However, Ken realizes from regular progress reports that most of

his athletes are performing poorly academically and breaking the contract he signed at the start of

the season. At this point, you decide to act quickly.

To draw the attention of athletes and the community to the importance of education alongside

sport, he has closed gyms and canceled all games until athletes show improvement in their

academic performance. It caused an uproar, enraging athletes, schools, and most of the

community. After much debate over whether to unlock the gym or support Carter his coach's plan,

the school board decides to reopen the gym and continue the basketball season. Carter refused to

endorse the message that education doesn't matter for athletes. He just wanted to lead them to

success and keep them from hurting themselves to fit into the social norms of many kids growing

up in Richmond. They were imprisoned or killed. Therefore, he decided to quit his job, but he soon

reconsidered.
