On arrival
The student will be met by a Bell Representative carrying a Bell sign and ID card. All
Bell Representatives are CRB checked.

Unaccompanied Minor
If you have indicated that the student is an Unaccompanied Minor, you must book
this service directly with the airline for both the arrival and departure flight.

Arrival and departures checklist

Before leaving home

Before leaving home, the student must have:

1. Flight / train tickets


2. A valid passport (and visa if required)
3. Proof of payment of fees (if required)
4. Bell Booking confirmation
5. This document
6. Authorisation to travel letter completed and signed by parent/guardian

Arriving in the UK

On arrival in the UK, the student should:

1. Go through Immigration and collect luggage from the baggage hall.


2. Go through Customs.
3. Go to the Arrivals Hall where the Bell representative will be waiting with a Bell
sign.
4. Register with the Bell representative.

If you are able to print them out, wearing a Bell student luggage label would be useful
for our Bell representatives.

If travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor, the airline staff will take the student to
meet the Bell representative in the Arrivals Hall. The Bell representative will have a
letter with the student’s name to show to airline staff.
If the student cannot see the Bell representative at the Arrivals Gate, they
should:

1. Wait up to 15 minutes at the barrier in the Arrivals Hall


2. Then go to the Information Desk nearby and ask
‘Please can you ask the Bell representative to come to the Information Desk?’
3. Wait at the Information Desk for a Bell representative to come to meet them
4. If there is a problem, telephone + 44 (0) 7522551397 (ensure the student
has this number with them when they travel)

IMPORTANT: Only leave the airport with a Bell representative

Leaving the UK

Before leaving the UK:

1. Flight tickets and passports will be returned to students at the centre


2. Students will travel to the airport by coach or taxi with Bell representatives
3. A Bell representative will help the student to check in with the airline, where they
are given the departure gate number
4. A Bell representative will take the student to the entrance of the security check in
departure lounge
Please note: Bell representatives are not allowed to go through into the
departure lounge
5. Students must make their own way to the departure gate and wait to board the
plane
6. If the student is travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor, a Bell representative will
hand the student over to airline staff, who will take care of the student during the
flight

NB: If you wish for your child to travel as an Unaccompanied Minor, please
remember to register and pay for this service for the flights to and from the UK.
