Recognizes professionals who have, within the first five years of their membership, made an exceptional or unique contribution that demonstrates promise as a future AACRAO leader. This award was established in 2004 and is named in honour of the late Dr. Richard Papenhausen, a long serving Director of Student Services at UNB Saint John, to recognize an outstanding new professional who has demonstrated a commitment to serving students and to the development of skills and knowledge in the Student Services field.

ACUI
The scholarship is open to any student enrolled in a graduate program. The student must be recognized by an institution as a student in pursuit of a graduate degree in any academic area. Special consideration will be given to students either currently in the field of college unions and student activities or those intending to enter the profession. Students may apply yearly but may only receive the award one time. This award is presented to a full-time graduate student studying at either the Master's or PhD degree level who has greatly contributed to his or her institution. Nominations must include the submission of a current job description and resume as well as a letter of support from a faculty member that conveys academic success and the nominee's primary function and successes as a graduate student or graduate assistant. This award is presented to a full-time, enrolled undergraduate student who has greatly contributed to his or her institution. Nominations must include the submission of a current job description or description of leadership role related to student conduct administration/leadership (i.e. conduct board, peer review board, resident assistant, student worker, etc). This award recognizes a new professional currently assigned primary responsibilities in student conduct administration. Nominees must hold current membership in ASCA; be currently assigned primary responsibilities in student conduct; have three or fewer years of professional experience with primary responsibilities in student judicial affairs; and be nominated by a current member of ASCA or an individual from where the nominee is employed. Awarded to member(s) who have outstanding contributions to and involvement in EACE within the first 3 years of membership.

Recognizes individuals who have the commitment to challenge and advise student government associations. The Outstanding New Advisor Awards are presented to individuals who have demonstrated qualities associated with outstanding academic advising of students and who have served as an advisor for a period of three (3) or fewer years. The Student Research Awards annually recognize student research that significantly adds to the body of knowledge on academic advising. Please refer to state, regional, and competency area awards. Student affairs professionals with a minimum of five years experience are eligible for NASPA's newest award, the MidLevel Student Affairs Professional Award. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the profession and who have contributed to programs that address the needs of students. Recipients must be experienced in creating campus environments that promote student learning and personal development This award recognizes individuals with four or fewer years in a full time position who have made significant contributions to student life at his/her institution and demonstrated commitment to the profession. NEA Urban Grants support local NEA affiliates in the development of education reform leadership programs for preK12/graduate school faculty and education support professionals.

NEA Urban Grants support local NEA affiliates in the development of education reform leadership programs for preK12/graduate school faculty and education support professionals. Recognizes up to two individuals who have demonstrated commitment to learning, professional development, and service, through the successful completion of a NODA Internship Outstanding NODA Intern Award experience. This award recognizes a new orientation, retention and transition professional who has demonstrated service to the National Orientation Directors Association, and/or to the Outstanding New Professional Award orientation, retention and transition profession.
