For its resource efficiency, Plastic is one of the daily increasing useful as well as a hazardous

materials. At the time of need, plastic is found to be very useful but after its use, it is simply
thrown away, creating all kinds of hazards. Plastic is non-biodegradable that remains a
hazardous material for more than centuries. Plastic has advantages, but due to human
irresponsibility, it is transformed into plastic waste. Plastic waste is the leading contributor to
industrial waste in a country, which has a negative impact not only on human health but also on
environmental health. Meanwhile, the Philippines is the world's third-largest contributor of
plastic waste, accounting for approximately 0.75 million metric tons of ocean plastic each year.
And much of it in the form of unrecyclable, single-use sachets (Guevarra, Jul 2022). Plastic
pollution remains a significant issue in the Philippines due to a lack of sanitary landfills and
strict building regulations (Fernandez, 2020). As a result, we will conduct a study to aid in the
reduction of plastic pollution in the Philippines. Therefore, it is important to use these waste
plastics in a useful way. Any essential industry nowadays cannot function effectively without
the use of plastic, from manufacturing to agriculture. As a result, we cannot simply ban the use
of plastic, but recycling plastic waste in building materials and other sectors is seen to be the
most practical application. As a result, we will conduct a study to aid in the reduction of plastic
pollution in the Philippines

The goal of this study is to create decorative bricks out of plastic and cigarette butts using
cement. And to test its durability, researchers will conduct such tests as a tensile strength test
to determine how strong a material is and a compressive strength test to determine the
maximum amount of compressive load a material can withstand before fracturing), as well as
other tests such as fire resistance, corrosion, and water absorption, which will tell us how the
material performs under certain environmental conditions.
