This document discusses cloud-based synchronization of distributed file system hierarchies. It proposes a method for synchronizing file system directories and files across multiple client devices using cloud storage. The synchronization would allow clients to access and modify the same file system hierarchy from different locations. The cloud is used to store the common file system structure and metadata that is shared among clients.
