I joined Paint & Create in the summer and received a lovely warm welcome, and plenty of feedback about the refreshed look of the magazine, all of which was very helpful. I was immediately struck by how much the SAA felt like being part of a family, and that has only got stronger as I've settled in. Paint & Create belongs to you, the members, and Id like to thank you all for your input and support as we grow the magazine. To help us deliver the best possible all-round membership service, we've included a survey with this issue of the magazine. Please do take the opportunity to have your say, and you could be the lucky winner of £500 to spend in the SAA shop! It was the SAA‘ goth anniversary in September, and you entered into the spirit of things by submitting your work to our dedicated gallery. This will be open until September 2023, so do please continue to share your paintings and drawings with us. The death of Queen Elizabeth TI was met with world-wide sadness and words of recognition and appreciation for her long years of service. Our Memorial Gallery was inundated with tributes, and we shared as many as we could in the pages of the magazine. ll of our galleries, whether they are the regular challenges or one-offs, are available to be viewed even after they've closed for entries, and I spend an inordinate amount of time looking through them. If you find yourself with a spare half-hour over Christmas, and are in search of inspiration, they're an excellent place to start! I wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and we'll catch up again in the new year.
