Topic: Source of money of College students and their lifestyle

Narrowed Down Topic: How do college students deal with monetary problems and how do they

maintain their lifestyles?

Research questions:

 How do students manage money in their sophomore years?

 Why tuition comes as the first choice in their initial attempts at income?

 Differences in lifestyle of Bangla medium and English medium students and what role

does the financial condition play?

 What other options are there besides tuition?

 What impact does the financial condition have on a student’s love life?

In this research paper we will explore a student’s money management system. We will dig deep

into this topic with a view to learning about a student’s lifestyle. This will help us gain a new

perspective about our society. While exploring the topic we may recall our past memories as

students and be nostalgic about it. My target audience for this research paper is college students

and people who are in universities. For this research, college students will be my survey subjects.

Topic: The effects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD

Narrowed Down Topic: The effects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD

among students of North South University and their coping mechanisms.

Research questions:

 What is ADHD?

 First reported cases of ADHD in medical history?

 How does ADHD develop in the first place?

 How do first year students adapt to their new environment if they have ADHD?

 How does ADHD affect our daily life?

 What can be done to deal with this?

 Is ADHD even real?

 How does pharmaceutical industry benefit from ADHD?

 Famous people who claim to have ADHD

 Did people from antiquity suffer from ADHD as well?

 The neuroscience of ADHD

 Is ADHD psychosomatic?

 Does autism encompasses ADHD?

 Does ADHD cause the retardation of mental growth?

In this research paper we will explore ADHD thoroughly. ADHD normally remains

undiagnosed and the dangers of it are overlooked. One of the goals of my research is to cast
light on the various ways ADHD can impede the academic life of students. We shall also

embark upon the effective ways of dealing with this problem. Being true sceptics, we shall

also scrutinize the facts and myths about ADHD and try to separate the wheat from the chaff.

My target audience will be people suffering from ADHD which may include both teenagers

and adults. I shall have the students of NSU as the subjects of my survey.

Topic: Struggles of finding a research topic.

Narrowed down topic: Why finding a suitable research topic for Eng105 is a matter of horror for

North South University students?

Research question –

 What is a research paper?

 What type of topic is considered best suitable for a research paper in this scenario?

 Why students struggle to find a unique topic? How difficult is the job?

 Does there a treasure island of research topic exist? If it does, then which ship can carry

us to that place?

 The uncertainty of getting your topic approved by your faculty

 How intelligent does a student have to be to come up with a topic that is new, rare and

interesting at the same time?

Almost every student who took the Eng105 in North South University has known the struggles to

find a topic for their research paper. The pain is visible to us but no one has ever said anything

regarding this topic. And for some of us this research paper is the only activity that matters in

Eng105. They take it as a challenge and deal with it with their best performances and hard

works. My target audience will be those NSU students who are willing to take Eng105 in their

upcoming semesters. For my survey I will reach out to those students who took Eng105 in their

previous semesters so that they can share their parts of the story through this research paper.
 Topic No – 4

Topic: Hair coloring among boys aged between 18 to 25.

Narrowed down topic: How does our society perceive the issue of hair dying among the boys of

this generation.

Research question –

 Why some teenagers and adults fall for this?

 What is the common outlook of normal people about this?

 Why people with their hair dyed face the judgements from the society?

 How does it impact them mentally when they are restricted from realizing this perverse

desire?

 What are the common personalities traits observed in the people who dye their hair?

 How the impacts of intrusive foreign cultures are pertinent to this issue?

People of this age group irrespective of their genders are seen to be increasingly concerned about

their appearances. Radical changes are seen to take place in their lifestyles due to this. Boys dye

their hair to seek attention. My audience for this survey will be teenagers who plan to change

their hair color in near future. And for my survey I will reach out to the students of 18-25 who

are acquainted with people who have colored their hairs.
