You may be an Atheist, Agnostic, Buddhist, Hindu, or Jew who does not believe Jesus is the Messiah, or you may believe that Jesus is just a prophet, or you are in a backslidden condition. Well, I must say this message is for you. I just finished a book called Case for Christ by a famous journalist named Lee Strobel. His wife became a Christian and he wanted to know why his wifes attitude had changed. He is a man who looks at the facts, evidence that everything needed proof. So he set out to build a case against Christianity. He traveled from one end of the country to the other. He interviewed Scholar after Scholar using his interviewing

techniques and his intellect trying to discredit these men. This man looked for fact after fact like forensic evidence, medical evidence, was Jesus really dead, was Jesus buried, did someone steal his body from the grave. Do you believe he rose from the dead? Where is the proof that Jesus is alive? All of these questions need answers. The soul that needed the Lord he had his eye on. He repeatedly tried to ignore or did not want to accept his findings that he received in his interviews. This is how it is for many people. They have all the facts and evidence and they still do not like what they find, so they lie to themselves because they cant believe what is true. The reason for this is because they might have to make a change. They say this doesnt add up to what they have been taught as a child. They may say this is not what I learned in college. Finally they may say this is not reality.

What this man did not know was that God changed his wife then it was time to save her household. He called it a Case for Christ but it was a case for his soul. If his wife and mother were praying women then he has no choice in the matter because there is one thing about God I do know without a doubt. That is, God answers prayer. You see the ones that have gone to glory God has to keep his promise to their seed because of the blood of Jesus. I notice in this book this man had a rebuttal for every Scholar until he had the interview with the Scholar that explains the beating of Jesus with the cat-a-nine-tail. The steel from the whip rips the skin off the back of Jesus. The other interesting thing he couldnt believe that Jesus was dead by crucifixion. He could not believe he was dead. The man explains how they put spikes in the palm of his hands at a particular nerve, how his body was

dislocated in his arms and shoulders, how they put spikes in his feet and how he had to push up on his feet in order to breath. His mouth was dry, his back rubbed on wood on the cross. Then the Scholar explained that Jesus knew his heart was slowing down and he commends his spirit to his heavenly Father and dies from cardiac arrest. When this man heard this there was a war inside; should I believe or should I not believe? What am I saying? In the tabernacle of Moses there were sacrifices that were made for the atonement for the sins of the Nation of Israel. The interesting point is when there was a sacrifice of a lamb the High Priest received the shoulder and the heart. Jesus asks for our whole heart, not part of it. In Matthew 15 He said, what proceeds out of the heart the mouth speaks. He also said that the heart has murder, blasphemy, hatred, evil thoughts,

Rev. Dr. Michael A. Terrell is a graduate of Saint Agnes, East High School and Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio. He also received a BA in Divinity from Springs of Life Bible College in Northridgefield Ohio. He received his MS in Divinity and Doctorial in Ministry from Shalom Bible College and Seminary in Des Moines Iowa. He is a Diamond Executive Elder in Morris Cerullo World Evangelism. He is on the Broad of Directors with Youth Devoted To Christ Holy Spirit Led Holy Spirit Fed Church and New Kingdom Life Ministries in Cleveland Ohio. He has also been an employee of the U.S. Postal Service, United Parcel Service, and Otis Elevator. Dr. Terrell is a Veteran who served in the Air Force, Active Army Reserve, and Navy from 1973-1984. He had difficulties adjusting from military life to civilian life and met the challenges with the Power of the Holy Spirit.
