6. Definition of input output port

Pin 1 is button light negative output；Pin 2 is button light positive output；

JP11、JP12 Pin 3 connects to GND；pin 4 connects to button input；JP11 connects to down

call button，JP12 connects to up call button.

SW1 Connect resistor on CAN terminal when both are on, no resistor connects when
both are OFF.
SW2 Press up/down button to set persons number allowed to load when SW2.1 is ON,
it is normal when it is OFF; it displays in English when SW2.2 is ON, it displays
in Chinese when it is OFF.
SW5 Press up/down button to set address code when SW5.1 is ON, it is normal when
it is OFF; press up button to select time function when SW5.1 is ON, press down
button to change time, it is normal when it is OFF.
Put both SW2.1 and SW5.1 ON before power on, press up/down button to adjust
the contrast.

7. Function explanation
address code Press up/down button to set address code address code 0~48
setting mode when SW5.1 is ON. range
time setting mode When SW5.2 is ON, it is time function selection by pressing up call button,
it used to change time by pressing down button.
person number Pressing up/down button to set person number allowed to load when the SW2.1
allowed to load is ON.
setting mode
contrast hardware Use a screwdriver to adjust the resistor of potentiometer R53,
adjustment mode adjustment which used to adjust LCD contrast, which can be adjusted in
a big range.
software Pressing up/down button to adjust contrast when SW2.1 and
adjustment SW5.1 are ON before power on, it can be adjusted in a little
range, only used to micro adjustment.

10. Connection method

♦ Connection between display board and power supply, communication cable

The 4 pin plug is used to induct power supply and communication cables of the display board.

Pin 1 is TXV+, pin 2 is TXV-, they are input power supply DC24V, pin 3 is TXA+, pin 4 is TXA-,

which are communication cables. The communication cable must be twisted-pair.

♦ About the setting of in car display board address

When the SM-04-UL is taken as the in car display board, the display board should be set“0”when

lift commissioning, that is: put SW5.1 ON, press up/down button, put SW5.1 OFF till the display

show “0”.

♦ About the setting of hall-call display board address

When the SM-04-UL is taken as the hall-call display board, it should be set correct floor

number, put SW5.1 ON, the installed floor number should be the address code, that is from the

base floor 1, one after another floor, put SW5.1 OFF after setting.

♦ About requirements of packing anti-static：

a) Packing personnel must wear anti-static gloves (anti-static hand ring, or anti-static

clothes)；

b) The display board must be packed with installation motherboard；

c) The display board must be tapped with a bar code；

d) Pack 5 blocks as a group, use plastics to separate.

♦ About the requirements of installation

a) Please install it on non-combustible, or there will be a danger of fire；

b) Combustible can not be put around, or there will be a danger of fire；

c) Can not install it in the air environment of explosive gas, or there will be a danger of

fire；

d) Can not uninstall the protection motherboard of parts, which are especially designed,

uninstalled it may result in proving the probability of damaging the parts.；

e) Do not make the cover board and panel sustain power, or there will be a danger of damaging

the controller；

f) Do not install it where there is drip splash, or there will be a danger of damaging the

controller；

g) Do not leave any bolt, washer or metallic pieces in the controller, or there will be a

danger of damaging the controller.
