OBJECTIVE 3.1. GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION The objective of the investigation was to obtain the geotechnical data such as the stratigraphy of the subsurface soil condition and the soil parameters in which those data would be used as a base of the evaluation for the purpose of soil improvement design, soil stability and foundation design. 3.2, BEARING CAPACITY ANALYSIS AND PILE CAPACITY ANALYSIS The objective of bearing capacity analysis is to provide the recommendation regarding the allowable bearing capacity varies with depth, allowable sliding capacity varies with depth and settlement analysis. The objective of pile capacity is to provide the recommendation regarding the pile capacity correspond to diameter and depth, type of foundation (spun driven pile, bore pile, steel pipe pile) and wave equation pile driving analysis. 4, DURATION OF WORK The Geotechnical Investigation activities started effectively on June 8° 2017 and finished on August 28" 2017. 5, REFERENCE DOCUMENTS The following documents shall form a part of ITB Documents a. CORE DRILLING PROCEDURE = Core drilling shall be carried out by rotational method with clear water flush or on the request of the Owner without any flush at all - Core recovery shall be required on the entire length of alll drillings. A minimum core recovery of 90% is required. Only material not altered or damaged by the drilling process will be considered as “core”. Zones wherea SPT. vane tests or disturbed sampling was performed, are considered as zones with recovered core, every layer shall be “Vane Test" with minimum 2 holes. = Cores have to be handled carefully, in order to prevent deformation or breaking. DEPTH = Drilling equipment must be able to be perform bore holes to a minimum depth of 50 m. = The final depth of the bore hole, as well as the depth achieved with every core run will be measured with the drill rods in accuracy of 5 cm, = Ifa boring does not reach the required depth, an additional hole has to be drilled and no compensation will be given for the abandoned hole. DIAMETERS The final core diameter should not be less than 54 mm. Page: 9 of 11 Rev. B ea Lhe MUARA TAWAR CCPP 650 MW Block 2, 3 & 4 Add On Project EQUIPMENT = Rigs shall meet the following specifications : - The core barrels shall be in perfect, which guarantee the request core recovery. - Diamond bits and hardened steel bits in perfect condition from well known manufactured shall be used. - For sedimentation and water reservoir of adequate capacity may be necessary. Only clear water shall be used = Core boxes should be made of good and durable material and covered by a lid with hinges. 9. STANDARD PENETRATION TEST 10, - The test shall be made according to the following standards: ASTM Designation D 1586 or BS 1377, Test 19. = With the sampler resting on the bottom of the hole, drive the sampler with blows from the 140 pound hammer falling 75 cm until either 45 cm have been penetrated or refusal (defined as 10 blows per 1,5 cm or less of penetration) has been reached - The report will be give the number of blows for the first, second and third penetration of 15 cm. If the number of blows for the first 15 cm would exceed 20, the penetration depth for the first, second and third 20 blows.
