QUÉBEC AT THE BARCELONA 2022 EAIE CONFERENCE

• 49 representatives from 21 institutions at the Québec booth, including 18


universities.

• They have over 2000 agreements with more than 900 collaborating institutions
throughout Europe.

• Québec government officials from the Ministry of Higher Education

• Québec government representatives from our offices in Paris, Brussels, Rome


and Barcelona are attending EAIE.

WHO WE ARE
Fédération des CÉGEPS* is a network of 48 public education
institutions spread across Quebec, providing the first level of higher
education in Québec.

Our schools are administered and funded by the Government of


Quebec through the Ministry of Higher Education.

* A cronym from the French term Collège d’enseignement general et professionnel, which means General and professional teaching college.

• 1967 : Creation of the first cégeps
• 1969 : Creation of the Fédération des cégeps
• 1983 : Economic development mandate
• 2015 : 50% of national college research funds granted

students to enter the workforce upon completing a 3-year

College Centers for the Transfer of Technology in the domain


of innovative social practices (CCTT).

These centers, hosted in several cégeps support + 5 000 businesses and organizations through
applied research and significantly contribute to the economic vitality of Quebec.
They are comprised of roughly 2 000 experts in technological and social innovation.
