IBPS PO 30 Days Preparation Strategy
Analysis of the Syllabus and Pattern of IBPS PO
Aspirants must be completely aware of the IBPS syllabus and pattern of PO 2021 before preparing for the exam. Aspirants
should be thorough with the pattern, question format, type of each paper and its levels along with knowledge of the number of
questions that come from each topic in the Prelims and Mains exam.

To know in detail about the IBPS Syllabus, refer to the linked article.

Good Study Materials

Aspirants must have the right study materials and good quality IBPS books for each subject and also should have test papers
containing good problems as well as mock test.

Create Time Table

Once candidates are fully aware of the syllabus and have the combination of right study materials they should divide their
studying time and dedicate equal time for each subject of the exam.

They should slowly adapt and concentrate on the topics given in the IBPS Exam Pattern for better preparation.

Topic-wise Preparation and Revision

Candidates should concentrate on a single topic at a time and not just try to finish everything at once. They should practice
more problems on various topics after finishing them.

Aspirants must always revise all the syllabus topics almost every day and focus more on the sections that they are weak in.

Increase Reading Speed and Take Notes

Reading newspaper and magazines daily can improve the candidates reading speed as well as English and GK.

Increasing reading speed can also help the candidate to cover the syllabus faster. Taking notes of important formulas and
shortcuts will help to revise faster.

Practice Mock Tests and Note the Mistakes

Candidates must practice mock papers after solving the subject questions for 2-3 weeks because it will give the candidate an
idea of the question format.

Look for Important Topics

Although the level of exam is moderately difficult there are certain topics which are quite common and questions from them are
asked every year. The final one month before the exam must be spent on improving them so that at least no mistakes are made
Do not pick up new topics for preparation
In case the candidate has skipped a few topics, do not take up those fresh topics in the final days before the exam. It may
become a cause of anxiety and candidates may tend to forget the other important topics as well

Refer to Previous Year Question Papers

This will enable the candidate to get an exact idea as to how the exam is set, what pattern is followed and how many questions
from each topic may be asked

Maintain Calm and Do Not Panic

The most important thing is that a candidate must not panic. It has been observed that as the exam approaches, many
candidates tend to get anxious which automatically increases stress and they make silly mistakes. So, throughout the coarse of
preparation keep calm and do not pressurise yourselves

And candidates should mark all the mistakes so that they can rectify it so that they do not repeat the same mistakes again.
1.In today’s time, you may find a lot of materials on the internet but can you
trust those study material? The answer is NO. This situation is similar to those
where many people claim to know the cure but only few people actually have the
knowledge.
2.While attempting exam first target the topic in which you are strong and
confident.
3.If you stuck in any question, don’t waste time on that, move to the next one
and then if at last you left with time review that particular question.
4.Time plays an important role in competitive exam so, it is important that you
should be in the habit of doing small calculations and some topics of
reasoning and Quant should in mind only.
5. One’s presence of mind is more than sufficient to solve Reasoning problems.
Start preparing topic by topic and then make yourself clear with Questions
• Segregate the topics which you are weak in and practice those every day
6.Strategy for Quantitative Aptitude
Mathematics is completely based on accuracy and speed, and to achieve
these both you need to clear your concept first.
Let’s do this step by step –
1. Pick a topic.
2. Clear the concepts of this topic.
3. Do solve questions based on this topic.
4. Start focusing on time management in solving questions.
5. Give a sectional test and analyze it.
6. Finally check your mistakes and improve them.
• Repeat the cycle for the other topics as well.
• These steps will definitely improve your accuracy and speed both.
7.Strategy for English Language
• This is the most dynamic section we have seen so far. Many students keep
asking that how they can score high in this section.
• English is not a subject but a Language and one needs proper time in order to
get used to a Language. For English there are two ways either are good with
rules or you must have good reading skills. As we know English is more
based on your reading and vocab skills so improve it by daily reading relevant
thing as well as master yourself in grammar.
• Building a good knowledge of vocabulary is in one’s hands. You need to
implement the new words learned to increase your vocabulary.
8.Strategy for General Awareness
Try to cover the gist of -
• Indian History (Ancient, Medieval and Modern)
• Indian Geography
• Economy (Terms and Theories)
• Polity (Basics of Constitution)
OR
You may cover by the NCERT Books up to X level.
9.For Current affairs, follow Onlinetyari Current Affair Videos & PDFs. This will
help you in enhancing your general knowledge.
• For General Science and Life Science you can also take help of NCERT Books
up to X level.
• In physics not only theoretical portion but also practice numerical questions as
well.
• In chemistry focus on chemical reactions and formulas.
• In biology do attempt the previous year questions.
10.Application of concepts over theoretical knowledge Theoretical knowledge means learning a concept without looking at it
with a
practical approach. Theory gives you the grasp over a concept by making you understand the “Why” behind it. But applying
those
concepts in a context would tell you “How” it is done. So, Practical approach gives the best exposure of learning
All the above points are very important from exam point of view. But first
and foremost thing that you need to concentrate on is "PRACTICE"
