Kyla: Unfortunately, women in history were tasked to follow men as their “leaders” and not the

other way around. However, despite this happening in the past, women empowerment in

leadership happened for instance when Jane Addams and Eleanor Roosevelt became involved with

leadership. According to Leslie Lopez, Jane Addams was Women’s International League for Peace

and Freedom’s first president. Eleanor Roosevelt earned the title of “World’s Most Admired

Woman” when she took full control of his husband’s, Franklin Roosevelt, political responsibilities. As

the first lady of the America, she successfully did an impressive leadership that made her admired

by many.

Kyla: According to Mortelli (2019), the effect of emotions on leaders will greatly impact the

relationship they have with their members. For instance, a CEO is angry because his

employee is making his blood boil. Because of this, the whole staff is having a hard time

dealing with their own work since their environment is facing a dilemma.

Kyla: In an article of AAUW, women experience barriers in their leadership such as old

stereotypes, biases, and discrimination. These barriers result to hinder women from

achieving high positions in a certain sector. In a school setting, these barriers will make

women viewed as inferior and that they cannot lead a pack of people.
