Scenario 3 Assignment

Question 1

The fact that they are minors must be understood above everything else in this situation.

Numerous things might occur. But rather than punishing them, the primary goal is to help

them comprehend and, as a result, inspire them to behave differently. For the first set of

juveniles, I will take them into custody, bring them to the station, record their minor

infraction, and then return the children to their parents after administering an official

reprimand. In addition, I'll get in touch with the parents involved in the sequence of events

and invite them to the reprimanding of the minors. Additionally, young people will spend

little time under police surveillance.

Question 2

No arrests will need to be made for the minors who purchased alcohol. As this may be the

outcome of experimental drinking, which is often unrelated to more severe criminal

offenses, I will release the children after helping them. Therefore, without taking any

official action, I will interrogate these young people for the minor crime they committed,

issue them a warning, and chastise them on the street.

Question 3
The sale of alcohol to children is forbidden under state legislation. The distribution of

alcohol to minors is prohibited by law. I will apply administrative and criminal sanctions

as a law enforcement officer against such an alcoholic who violates the law. The licensing

organizations will impose administrative fines on the seller. Fines, license suspensions, and

revocations are examples of these administrative sanctions. Additionally, the seller is

subject to criminal sanctions via state or municipal criminal courts (Hoeve, M 2012). The

seller may face various criminal sanctions, fines, prison terms, and alternative

punishments, including community service.

Question 4

I shall use the watchman technique with the juveniles, emphasizing upholding order while

using informal means. The primary goal is to settle the conflict among the young people

and maintain peace. Based on the immediate effects of the crime, I will use this method to

assess the gravity of juvenile offenders' offenses (Rosenbaum, 2018). Since the violation

has been committed more often, the legalistic approach is better for the business owner.

This strategy is more official and involves several citations and arrests. As it lays greater

emphasis on breaking the law, as in the example of the shop owner, this strategy asks for

strict enforcement of criminal law.
