This document outlines a 41 high series set play against a man-to-man defense with 3 options. In the first option, wing player 3 V-cuts to draw his defender and then back-cuts for a pass and layup. If option 1 is unavailable, the ball is swung to player 5 at the top who passes to player 1 flashing to the wing, while player 2 sets a back pick for player 3 to roll to the basket. As a third option, if the first two are covered, player 3 moves to the corner to draw his defender away while players 4 and 5 set staggered screens for player 2 to cut around for an open shot.

First Option When the guard (1) swing pass to wing player (3).
It's important for the wing player
(3) to engage his defender and assume a triple-threat position.
Players 1 & 2 X cuts off 4’s screen.
Player 1 curls to ball off 4’s screen Player 2 face cuts off 4’s screen. Player 5 fills the point position for defensive containment
Player (3) must read the zone and
cutter in order to know whether or not to make the entry pass.
The entry pass should only be
made if the second cutter, player (2)’s defender is trailing and there's an open lane to the basket. Second option After receiving the pass the wing (3) player sees that the first option cutter isn't open. The ball's swung up top to player (5).
Player (1) flashes out to wing to
receive pass from (5).
Player (2) back pick player 3's
defender.
Player (3) rolls off screen to
basket.
A front cut would be better to
create an open lane for the pass.
Again the entry pass should only
be made here if player 3 is open for a layup. Third Option From option two player (3) is not open. Guard to wing pass is made, scissor cut is executed, first option isn't open, the ball is swung up top, back pick is set, second option isn't open,
player 3 moves out to corner to
draw his defender away,
players four and five move down
to set a staggered screen,
player 2 draws his defender inside
and then Cuts around the staggered screens for an open shot
