    Oxford University Press Story Writing Competition

    Use your creativity and imagination to write a story based on the theme ‘Old
    Friends’.

    The idea is to celebrate and cherish the joy of all the wonderful friendships we
    create over the years.

    This theme also encourages you to think if you have ever considered a book as
    an ‘Old Friend’. Books stay with us once we read them. We remember parts of
    books that moved us – made us cry or laugh.

    Word count: 500 words
