Though Callos Integrated School does

not own library, the classrooms were


turned into hub of creativity as
students worked on book-related art
projects, illustrating their favorite
scenes, and crafting their personalized
imaginative storybooks.

Callos Integrated School also


hosted a variety of classroom-based
contests congruent to the reading
month celebration such as Reader’s
Theater, Storytelling, Speech Choir,
Character Portrayal and
Declamation Contest allowing
students to delve into deeper
discussions about their chosen
reads. The celebration reached its
pinnacle with a spectacular closing
ceremony, featuring student literary
costumes that brought classic
literature to life. Awards were given
for outstanding contributions,
fostering a sense of accomplishment
among the students.
The Reading Month celebration at
Callos Integrated School not only
celebrated the joy of reading but
also strengthened the school's
commitment to nurture a generation
of avid readers and lifelong learners.

LET’S READ! SPEECH CHOIR CELEBRATION
1 In November 2023, Callos Integrated
School buzzed with literary excitement as
it hosted a vibrant Reading Month
celebration. From kindergarteners to
DECLAMATION tenth graders, students immersed
themselves in a spectrum of literary
2 activities. The festivities kicked off with a
grand opening ceremony featuring a
captivating storytelling session by every
READER’S THEATER representative from each grade level.
Each day brought unique themes,
3 engaging students in diverse reading
genres. From mystery Mondays to
fantasy Fridays, the students explored
books, fostering a love for reading.
STORYTELLING Classrooms became the library and
4 reading corner of the students, and
passionate readers showcased their
favorite books during daily book-sharing
sessions. The classrooms were turned
STORYBOOK MAKING into a literary hub, where students
brought their favorite storybook and
5 exchanged and discovered new stories.
Interactive reading competitions added
a competitive spirit, with participants
from different grades showcasing their
talents and skills.
