Objective

The objectives of carrying this lab experiment is to demonstrate the

procedures and techniques necessary to adjust both the inlet and outlet
valve clearance in IC engine to the optimum level. This optimum level is
usually determined by the manufacturers. So, most of the time the
procedure is carried out with the objective of adjusting the valve clearance
to the manufacturer specification. By doing so we can make sure that
the engine efficiency remains at its optimum level and is operating its
normal function properly. Failing to do so will probably lead to valves
being non-functional causing the engine to become “unable” to start even
when every other part of the engine are in perfect condition.
