BMCC Pune Admissions

Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce Admission is based on the marks secured by the aspirants in the entrance
examination conducted by the University/ Institute. Candidates can also apply with a valid CET (CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT
etc.) score for courses such as MBA. For certain courses, candidates are selected based on merit, i.e. marks obtained
in the last qualifying exam. Candidates applying for any of the courses offered by Brihan Maharashtra College of
Commerce are required to apply through offline mode of application only. The process of application is as follows:
Step 1: Candidates can request a copy of the application form by post or collect in person from the institute’s
admission cell after paying the prescribed application fee.

Step 2: All requisite details as asked in the application form are to be furnished correctly.

Step 3: The complete application form, along with photocopies of required educational documents and other
relevant forms, must be sent to the institute, committed to reaching before the last date. 

Step 4: Candidates who have received the application form by post must send a DD for the prescribed application fee
along with the completed application form.

Step 5: Shortlisted candidates must appear at the counselling venue for the final stage of admission.

Step 6: The candidate will be required to produce his/her original documents during counselling for verification
purposes. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of candidature.

The Training and Placement activities encourage students to opt for jobs that better suit their profile. The placement
season commences in the first month of every academic year and continues until the end of the academic year. Pre-
Placement Talks are conducted for the final year students before the commencement of placement sessions every
year. The T&P cell has adequate infrastructure to accommodate all the activities related to training and placement of
PSIT students. It has wireless connectivity with company operations rooms, interview rooms, GD rooms, Seminar
rooms, and student coordination rooms.

All the details regarding the
application form, dates and fees are updated from time to time on the college website
I have availed the benefits of
OBC caste for admission.
The improvements I want to see are the website should be improved and wifi should be
provided to students.

Course Curriculum Overview : I had an interest in the management field so I choose this course.
There are 4
teachers for every 80 students.
The faculty is over-educated with 3 to 4 master's degrees for every professor.
Teaching is through screens and very much professional.
Term exams are twice a year and if studied well then only
one can pass. Only eligible students pass out.

In 2020 since college was online, we had to fill out the form and upload scanned documents on the college website
and the office staff does help with the admission process. Now the process has become offline, where you have to fill
out the form and submit a hard copy of the documents.
The cut-off was 85% for General Category, college intake is
600 per batch, so getting admission is quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview : The course is pretty easy, you have to make sure you make assignment submissions
in time, some of the faculty are impressive in all aspects while some struggle with teaching, so you have to refer some
other faculty may be on YouTube.

I would like to suggest the college authorities that the
admission process should be made faster. For my batch, it took 2 months from the date of filling of application form
till the date of first day of classes.

Course Curriculum Overview : I am pursuing CA exams. As I also wanted a degree I opted for BCom.
There are 100-
120 students in one division. Like this there are 5 divisions for BCom. And for 6 subjects (including one optional
subject), there is one teacher for each subject.
The semester exams are easy given that you just study regularly.
Some papers are very easy, and you can score good even by studying for few days. But some subjects are really deep,
and demand for more efforts.

Course Curriculum Overview : I choose Bba ib as when i saw the subjects they were all related to practical life which
we use in daily routine. Subjects like personality development, soft skills, international language (french, german),
information technology, logistics etc. In bba ib we have 80 students and the ratio of girl and boy is equal. The faculty
is highly qualified, NET/SET cleared, some are done with phd and high experience in teaching field. The whole course
consists of 6 semester, 2 sem each year. The college is autonomous so the learning material is provided by faculty
itself. passing is exam is upto you if yoy study it is easy if you don't then you can hardly qualify. Also attendance
should be 75%. that is mandatory.
Class Size : 80 Course Fees : INR 163000

Placement Experience : The placements are provided by the college placement cell, companies like detolloite, oracle,
wipro, infosys, and many come every year and pick up our student. Last year nearby 17 student got place with
minimim package of 3 lakh and the highest package of 7.02 lakh. Due to pandemic not many students were placed.
