Music Educator in the high desert of southern California. I look at music as a subject everyone can relate to. I have found that
all my student have a relationship with music. My goal has been to open the eyes of my students to see music in new ways,

Oro Grande School District  Oro Grande, California  2022 – Present
Band and Choir Director, Riverside Preparatory High school
Directed bands, choir, and guitar classes. Leading and directing students 9-12 in music, music theory, performance and
personal musical development. Maintaining various administrative tasks such as budgeting, ordering music, logistics,
student conduct and discipline, and instrumental maintenance. Large projects include indoor drumline show, music in
the parks, and marching band events. Creating an Ethnomusicology class to help satisfy a future ethnic studies high
school course requirement.

Snowline Joint Unified School District  Phelan, California  2021 – 2022


BAND DIRECTOR, QUAIL VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL
Directed middle school bands. Taught instrumental and general music to grades 6-8. Collaborated with district music teachers
to provide quality and accessible music education to all students. Planned and executed successful district music events and
performances. Emphasis of students recruitment as a result of COVID-19. Efforts resulted in 60 students in beginning band and
finding students who have had former music experience and putting them in musical ensembles.

Barstow Unified School District  Barstow, California  2019 – 2021

Classes Taught for high school: Choir, Band, & Music in Global Cultures.
Responsible for mentoring, educating & evaluating over 650 students between Kindergarten and 12th grade. Providing weekly
general music education to all grade levels, and directing beginning and advanced band offered grades 4 th-6th., I was the
Barstow High School Choir Director. Instructing and leading grades 9-12 through varied Choral repertoire.

STUDENT MUSIC ASSISTANT- LOGISTICS
Provided logistic solutions for the California Baptist School of Music. Responsible for musical equipment valued at ~$1M. As
Vice President of the 160-piece University Choir and Orchestra, led successful set up and tear down of the equipment while
managing a crew of 14 students for nearly 60 concerts a year. Hosted nine recruitment events at student conferences, and
efforts resulted in 35 new students attending California Baptist University School of Music.

Lifeway Christian Resources (FUGE CAMPS)  Nashville, Tn  2016, 2017 (Summers)


FINANCIAL DIRECTOR & BIBLE STUDY LEADER
Summer of 2016, served as a Bible Study leader for FUGE camps. In this summer long experience, taught around 200 student
throughout the summer in the bible curriculum, and lead the Christian Doctrine track for a week long study on what we
believe. In summer of 2017, I returned to FUGE Camps as a Financial director. I handled all camp finances and inventory of
merchandise. Also had administrative responsibilities when it came to staff and communication with churches.

Musical Involvement & Experience


First Baptist Church Barstow
MEMBER, INTERIM WORSHIP LEADER  August 2022-Present
Since 2010, I’ve participated in worship ministry at FBC Barstow. Involved in both instrumental and vocal music at
various levels such as; Youth Choir, Christmas Alive, Small Ensembles, Hand Bell Choir, and Interim Worship Leader.
Responsibilities as Interim have included choosing music for worship services (collaborative experience) running worship
rehearsals, working with the pastoral staff on worship service order.

TENOR CHORISTER, MASTER ARTS CHORALE  January 2022-Present
Master Arts Chorale is comprised of experienced musicians such as current/former music teachers, long time singers,
and music students at the undergraduate level. We sing many different genres such as; Classical, Traditional, Art Music,
Pop, and 21st Century.

Houston’s First Baptist Church  Houston, TX  2018 (Summer)


WORSHIP MINISTRY INTERN
Supported the administrative staff while serving a congregation consisting of 15,000 weekly members. Provided
valuable insight in Planning Center meetings (planned and timed out worship services). Regularly conducted rehearsals
for a choir and orchestra containing 110 people in preparation for tours & Sunday services. Held leadership positions in
the Youth Mission Choir Tour, and the Choir and Orchestra, Costa Rica Mission Trip.

California Baptist University  2016-2019


MUSIC ENSEMBLE PRESIDENT, VICE-PRESIDENT, AND CREW CHIEF
Throughout my time at Cal Baptist I was a part of many musical ministry ensembles. The University Choir and Orchestra was
the most notable. I served at the Vice-President and Crew Chief for two years. I helped plan May tour (Two weeks of singing
after the semester ended) organized and was responsible for the trucks/equipment that travelled ahead of the choir. With
around 60 concerts a year, the group also performed/ministered at churches and other events.
