Statement of Purpose

The words of Richard Feynman, "I would rather have questions that cannot be answered than
answers that cannot be questioned," left a lasting impression on my youthful and inquisitive
mind during a significant philosophical transformation in my mid-teenage years. It was at this
time that I made the decision to pursue a career in theoretical physics. The aspiration to bring
about a revolutionary development in physics and alter the current state of the world is a dream
shared by many aspiring physicists. However, this dream requires a constant thirst for
knowledge and a willingness to challenge the status quo. It is this spirit of inquiry that drives me
to continue learning new things and explore the philosophical aspect of scientific knowledge.

Although since teenage, naturally, my naive perspectives and fantasies about physics, science,
and existence have evolved. I have come to understand that the path to making significant
contributions in the field is often long and difficult, and it is unlikely that I will achieve a
groundbreaking discovery in the field of physics. However, I find great fulfillment in the pursuit of
answers to fundamental questions about the nature of the universe and my place within it and I
feel this pursuit is only possible through the pursuit of physics.

I am applying to the Tensor PSI winter school in hopes of experiencing my first real encounter
with a group of people that are completely devoted to physics and each of whom have many
different philosophical points of views and reasons to pursue physics. In addition, I thrive when I
am surrounded by motivated and inspiring people, and I feel driven to excel when I am in such
an environment. I have somewhat enough background in physics and mathematics to try and
grasp the topics that will be taught in the winter school. The knowledge and experience I gain
from this program will inspire me to continue my path towards theoretical physics.

I believe that if I get accepted to the Tensor PSI Winter School, this opportunity would be an
invaluable experience for me, as I would be able to interact with a community of individuals who
are deeply passionate about physics and who have a variety of philosophical perspectives on
the subject.

In addition, I thrive when I am surrounded by motivated and inspiring individuals, and I feel
driven to excel when I am in such an environment. My background in physics and mathematics
is probably not enough to get the best out of this program, but I believe I have the ability to
grasp the subject matter that will be taught at this program. There is still much for me to learn,
and I am eager to tackle the challenges that will be presented during the winter school. I am
confident that the knowledge and experience I gain from this program will further my aspirations
of pursuing a career in theoretical physics.

Thank you for reading through all of it and considering my application!
