Subject: - Control Room for Train Management System(TMS) Work.
Bee Nerk of Train Management System (TMS) over 30 stations in Sealdah
vision was sanctioned in the year 2010-11 (Under Plan Head - 33,
Allocation-RRSK, P.B, Item No. 489 of 2022-23), for which the contract,
Was awarded vide CA No, SGW-272-382-T1-1A dated 17.09.2019 to M/s.
HBL Power Systems Ltd., Hyderabad.
Installation and wiring of outdoor equipment’s for TMS system has
already been completed in Circular Railway section and upto Naihati in
Main line section, rest work is in progress. However, no progress has
been made in indoor work for requirement of control room. Control room
is essentially required for commissioning of the system and making the
‘TMSfunctional in the section.
New Control room for TMS is allocated in the upcoming new DRM
building with its extension. The work for which is in progress but will
take time for completion. ;
‘Thus for expediting the held up work, possible alternative was explored
for which a joint inspection was taken up by PCSTE, PCOM, DRM/SDAH
& BOs/Divisional officers on 26.11.2022 and it was decided that the
proposed Control Room for TMS would be temporarily accommodated in
the existing Control room at the ground floor of Control Building till such
time the Permanent TMS control room in new DRM building is completed.
For this temporary arrangement a drawing has been prepared, copy of
which is kept at SN-I,this drawing has been prepared based on the
existing control layout, copy of which is kept at SN-2.
In order to accommodate the TMS Control in the existing control,
reloéation of five controllers namely Dy.Controller/Coaching, Chief
Controller, TRS/Control, C&W control and Power control are required to
be done. This issue was discussed in meeting with DRM/SDAH on
20.12.2022 which was attended by CSTE/Project & BOs/Divisional
officers. The following phase-wise modality has been decided to take up
the work as below:
PHASE - I (Temporary Shifting) - In this phase following controls will be
shifted so that the renovation work for New TMS Control Room in
existing control can be done.
1. Dy.Controller/coaching will be accommodated in existing Dy.
Controller/Goods, FOIS.
2.C1 Controller to be relocated to. existing Computer Cell in
existing Control.
3. TRS/Control to be relocated and accommodated in Chief Power
Control & Remote Control Centre adjacent to the existing Control
Centre.
4. C&W control to be relocated and accommodated in Chief Power
Control & Remote Control Centre adjacent to the existing Control
Centre.
5. Power control to be relocated and accommodated in in Chief Power
control & Remote Contr ist

After relocation of these controls to new place, work for renovation and
construction of TMS Control Room will be taken up by S& PYOJeck.
PHASE - II (Final Shifting) - Once the TMS Control Room is ready and
functional, following controls will be shifted and accommodated finallyas

1, Dy.Controller/coaching will be accommodated in TMS Control.
2. Chief Controller will be accommodated in TMS Control.
3. Board-3 & Board- 4 will be accommodated in TMS Control.
4.TRS/Control to be shifted by merging Board-3 & 4 control in
one(which is vacant now).
5. C&W control to remain in Chief Power control & Remote Control
Centre, :
6. Power control to be shifted to Computer Cell in existing Control.

For the above relocation, S&T ProJect will do the Telephone, LAN &
peripheral shifting work, renovation and construction of TMS control
room,
Blectrical(G) department will carry out electrical connectivity shifting
work & electrification of New TMS Control Room after renovation &
construction and necessary fund required will be certified by
S&T/Project unit.
